Kansas State will try to keep its offensive juggernaut rolling when it hosts North Texas on Saturday. The No. 14 Wildcats have scored 103 points in victories over Miami (52-13) last week and Missouri State (51-9), and are averaging 306 yards rushing, sixth in the country. Collin Klein ran for three touchdowns and threw for another as he continues to be one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation. The Wildcats are 43-2 in September home games since 1992 under coach Bill Snyder and 64-7 in non-conference games since 1990 under Snyder. North Texas lost at LSU 41-14 in its opener before rebounding with a 34-7 victory over Texas Southern last week.

ABOUT NORTH TEXAS (1-1): The Mean Green hasn't started a season 2-1 since 1994, its final year in the FCS before making the jump to the big time. North Texas hasn't won two straight games since 2004. North Texas rushed for 352 yards against Texas Southern, with redshirt freshman Antoinne Jimmerson leading the way with 139. Redshirt freshman cornerback Zac Whitfield is one of two first-year players in the nation with two interceptions, as North Texas is one of only four teams in the country without a senior in its secondary. The Mean Green also is tied for eighth in the nation with only 11 scholarship seniors. North Texas will join Conference USA in 2013 after 12 seasons in the Sun Belt Conference.
ABOUT KANSAS STATE (2-0): The Wildcats' defense has also played at a high level and has allowed only 67.5 yards rushing, 16th in the nation. They recorded five sacks against Miami. Kansas State is also first among Big 12 teams with a turnover margin of plus-4. Running back John Hubert has a pair of 100-yard games and should continue to have success against a North Texas defense allowing 173.5 yards rushing per game. Klein is 28-of-39 passing for 379 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, and has rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns this season. Kansas State is trying for its third straight 3-0 start and 16th in Bill Snyder's 21 seasons.
