Seattle Storm’s scoring defense is second to only the league-leading Minnesota Lynx so far this season and home-court advantage will make staying in the hunt challenging for the opposing team to stay in the hunt. The Los Angeles Sparks have improved over time since getting off to a poor start in 2025 and even rattled off a road win against the New York Liberty on July 26. However, their inability to generate stops will hurt them in this matchup. Only the Connecticut Sun and Chicago Sky give up more points per game than Los Angeles. That won’t cut it in enemy territory against a defensive juggernaut.
