Addison Barger clobbers the baseball, ranking in the 94th percentile in exit velocity and 95th percentile in hard-hit rate. Yankees SP Cam Schlittler, who touches up on 98 mph on the radar, gives up hard contact and has already allowed two homers in just 5 1/3 innings.

Stanton is 7-for-27 lifetime against Scherzer, and four of those hits have been bombs. Four of his five homers this year are off right-handed hurlers, and Scherzer has allowed five home runs in just five outings this season. He gave up two long balls in his last outing against the lowly Athletics, too.

Cam Schlittler makes his second career MLB start tonight. He relies on a heater that averages 98 mph but that elite velocity also means he gets hit hard by batters who can make contact. That's bad news on the road against the Blue Jays who lead the majors in BA (.274) and runs per game (5.74) over the last 30 days. Toronto is starting washed-up Max Scherzer who has pitched to a 7.20 ERA with an OBA of .350 in the opening frame. He'll be in trouble against a Yankees lineup that leads the majors in OPS (.790) and ranks second in run first inning rate (34%).

I’m playing this to +120. Max Scherzer is getting up for this game. The Jays have won a franchise-record 11 straight games at home, and his offense is facing Cam Schlittler while the New York offense might be going more defensive and less pop after a bad game in the field last night. The 40-year-old starter went 18 outs in his last start and has had 11 days off to recover. He threw 90 pitches in that July 11 outing and seems to have pushed past the five-inning limitation that might have been in place. The Jays have also ridden their bullpen hard this season, and anything more than 15 outs will go a long way for these relievers.
THE BAT is projecting 15.5 outs on 89 pitches, so the plus-money is the deciding factor here. He is also a solid +235 to record the win.
