Eovaldi was a reliable part of Boston's rotation for almost half a decade. He joined the Rangers in 2023 and is currently in the midst of a career-best season. He has pitched to a 2.11 ERA with an MLB-best 0.77 WHIP through seven starts. Eovaldi has fanned 7+ batters in five of seven starts this year, including each of his last three outings. He's in the top 20th percentile in strikeout rate (28.2%) and the top 25th percentile in whiff rate (28.6%). The Red Sox have a productive offense but don't always make contact. They strike out at the seventh-highest rate in the majors (23.3%) and rank 28th in whiff rate (27.9%). I love the Over 5.5 strikeouts for Eovaldi and also like the 7+ strikeouts milestone at +140.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
