THE STORY: The Philadelphia Phillies are the first team in the majors to reach 75 wins this season. The Phillies go for No. 76 on Tuesday when they meet the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second game of a three-game series. Philadelphia posted a 5-3 victory on Monday behind Roy Halladay’s National League-leading 15th win of the campaign. Philadelphia has won 10 of its last 11 games and leads the NL East by 8 1/2 games over the Atlanta Braves. The Dodgers lost their second straight game and are 10 games below .500 as well as 10 games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West. Philadelphia is 7-1 on a 10-game road trip that began against Colorado and San Francisco.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Phillies LH Cliff Lee (11-7, 2.96) vs. Dodgers LH Ted Lilly (7-11, 4.86)
Lee has won two straight starts and threw a complete-game seven-hit shutout against San Francisco last Thursday. He struck out eight and walked none. Lee has walked two of fewer batters in 11 consecutive starts. Overall, he has 167 strikeouts against just 32 walks. Lee struck out 10 in seven shutout innings while beating the Dodgers on June 6. He is 1-0 with a 0.63 ERA in two career starts against Los Angeles. Rod Barajas is hitless in 15 career at-bats against Lee.
Lilly usually gets hit hard by the Phillies even though he gave up just two runs and five hits in six innings while losing to Philadelphia on June 6. Overall, Lilly is 1-5 with a 5.49 ERA in seven career outings against the Phillies. He has given up nine homers in 41 innings. Lilly lost to San Diego in his last outing despite giving up just one run and four hits in six innings. Ryan Howard is batting .294 with two homers in 17 career at-bats against Lilly.
ABOUT THE DODGERS (52-62): Los Angeles had 13 hits in Monday’s loss but all were singles. The Dodgers left 11 runners on base. Casey Blake reached base four times on two singles and two walks. Andre Ethier, Matt Kemp and Aaron Miles joined Blake in having two hits. It was Ethier’s fourth consecutive two-hit game. Miles is batting .331 in 40 career games against the Phillies. Juan Rivera had a pinch-single to extend his hitting streak to 10 games. Rivera has three homers in 24 career at-bats against Lee. Shortstop Dee Gordon (shoulder) entered the game as part of a double switch. It was his first action since being injured on Saturday.
ABOUT THE PHILLIES (75-40): Philadelphia is 19-8 against NL West teams this season. Shane Victorino was suspended three games for his part in bench-clearing incident against San Francisco last Friday but appealed the decision and played Monday. Victorino homered, had two doubles and scored three runs. Placido Polanco received an undisclosed fine for his role. Polanco could be headed to the disabled list after an MRI exam on Monday revealed he has a sports hernia. Polanco will be given a shot Tuesday and then evaluated again on Friday. Howard had two hits and two RBIs after going 1-for-12 with eight strikeouts in the four-game series against San Francisco. Hunter Pence also had two hits and is batting .366 in 10 games since being acquired from Houston.
FINAL PITCH: The Dodgers are honoring the late Duke Snider on Tuesday. The Hall of Famer, who died in February, was an eight-time All-Star. The grass at Dodger Stadium was mowed to display his No. 4 in center field.
