Arizona @ Milwaukee preview
American Family Field
Last Meeting ( Jul 4, 2011 ) Arizona 8, Milwaukee 6
THE STORY: The Arizona Diamondbacks look to continue their run-scoring streak when they take on the Milwaukee Brewers in the second of their three-game series at Miller Park. Arizona scored at least once in each of the last six innings of Monday's 8-6 comeback victory. Chris Young hit an RBI single and scored on Miguel Montero's base hit in the ninth as Milwaukee squandered a 6-1 lead and wasted a grand slam by starting pitcher Shaun Marcum. The Brewers have lost six of their last seven games. All-Star Ryan Braun has missed two straight games with a strained left calf, delaying his chance to extend his 22-game hitting streak.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Diamondbacks LH Zach Duke (1-3, 5.92 ERA) vs. Brewers LH Randy Wolf (6-5, 3.33 ERA).
Duke, who will be making his eighth start of the season, is searching for his first win since his Diamondbacks debut at Houston on May 28. The 28-year-old has allowed 20 runs over his last four outings, including a loss to Cleveland on Wednesday in which he yielded four runs in five innings. Duke is 4-7 with a 6.14 ERA in 17 career starts against Milwaukee.
Wolf's four-run, seven-inning road effort against the New York Yankees on Thursday resulted in his first loss since May 17 but provided a much-needed rest for a tired Milwaukee bullpen. The 34-year-old veteran is 3-0 in six outings at Miller Park since losing his first home start on April 8. Wolf has fared well against Arizona, going 10-3 in 18 career meetings.
ABOUT THE BREWERS (45-41): Milwaukee apparently needs to start piling up more runs as it has blown five-run leads in each of its last two games. It also was ahead 6-1 against Minnesota on Sunday but ultimately dropped a 9-7 decision. Prince Fielder has hit Duke well over his career. The slugger is 12-for-36 (.333) with three homers and eight RBIs against the former Pirates southpaw.
ABOUT THE DIAMONDBACKS (46-40): Monday's victory was the third of the season in which Arizona rallied from a deficit of at least five runs. Young, who went 1-for-4 with a walk Monday, has reached base safely in 15 consecutive games. During that span, he is hitting .304 (17-for-56) with four doubles, two homers and nine RBIs. Stephen Drew is just 2-for-12 lifetime against Wolf but has a homer and five RBIs.
FINAL PITCH: Marcum's grand slam was the first hit by a Brewer since Braun on June 14, 2010. It was just the second by a pitcher in franchise history. Fred Talbot belted the first on July 11, 1969, for the Seattle Pilots, who moved to Milwaukee the following season.
