Last Meeting ( Jul 2, 2012 ) Kansas City 11, Toronto 3

The Kansas City Royals posted a season-best run total in the opening game of the series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Royals will look for a similar effort on Tuesday after Mike Moustakas had a career-best five RBIs and hit his first career grand slam in an 11-3 victory in the series opener. Toronto fell to an even .500 and is in last place in the American League East.

Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista hit his major-league leading 27th homer of the season on Monday. He was named American League Player of the Month for June after setting a club record with 14 homers in a single month. Monday’s loss was the fifth in seven games for Toronto. Kansas City snapped a three-game skid while beating Toronto for the first time in five attempts this season. The Royals matched a season-best with 14 hits to move within 5 1/2 games of the first-place Chicago White Sox in the AL Central.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
