The San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants finish off a four-game set this afternoon at Petco Park as the hosts look to claim the series win.
Ryan O’Hearn has been swinging a hot bat with two home runs and five RBI so far in the series, and my Giants vs. Padres predictions expect him to close the rivalry on a high note.

Giants vs Padres best bet: Ryan O’Hearn Over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI (-105)
The San Diego Padres rolled to a comfortable 8-1 win against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, as the hosts went yard four times.
Ryan O’Hearn got in on the action with two RBI and his second homer in three games, so I’m banking on the Padres’ new first baseman to finish the series on a high note.
O’Hearn has settled in nicely for the Padres since being acquired from the Baltimore Orioles at the trade deadline, batting .400 over the last week while also knocking in seven RBI. The first baseman has eclipsed 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI in four straight games.
Justin Verlander takes the hill for the Giants today, and the five-time Cy Young winner is finally showing his age at 42 years of age. Verlander owns a 4.23 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP this year, and July was his worst month of the season (5.40 ERA, 1.80 WHIP).
The Padres have outscored the Giants 36-9 in six meetings over the last 10 days, and I suspect O’Hearn will be in the middle of another San Diego win this afternoon.
Giants vs Padres same-game parlay (SGP)
O’Hearn boasts five RBI in the series and has driven in at least one run in four straight contests, helping the Padres outscore the Giants 16-5 so far in this three-game set.
San Francisco has finished with less than 2.5 runs in eight of its last 11 contests, going 2-9 over that span. The Padres should coast to another easy win against a feeble Giants offense.
