Arizona @ Milwaukee preview

American Family Field

Last Meeting ( Jun 29, 2012 ) Arizona 9, Milwaukee 3

Aaron Hill is certainly having a month to remember. After collecting his second cycle in 11 days, Hill will look to end June with a flourish as the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks continue their series versus the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. Hill, who also recorded a cycle against Seattle on June 18, joined Babe Herman (1931) as the only players in the Live Ball Era with two in a season.

Paul Goldschmidt also had four hits - including a three-run homer to highlight a five-run third inning - as Arizona won its second straight following a season-high four-game road skid. Goldschmidt had 13 hits in his last eight games. While the Diamondbacks are starting to heat up, the Brewers are struggling after falling for the fifth time in six contests.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Diamondbacks LH Wade Miley (9-3, 2.19 ERA) vs. Brewers RH Michael Fiers (2-2, 2.70)

Miley has won three of his last four starts after permitting just one run in each outing. The 25-year-old scattered three hits and struck out seven in eight innings en route to a 5-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. Miley owns a victory over Milwaukee, although he yielded a season-high five runs in six innings on May 26.

Fiers did everything but pick up the win in his last outing. The 27-year-old scattered five hits and struck out seven over 7 1/3 scoreless innings, but settled for a no-decision against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Fiers, who has only made eight appearances in his major-league career, has yet to face Arizona.

WALK-OFFS

1. Arizona's Jason Kubel, who went 2-for-5 on Friday, is batting 8-for-15 with a homer and four RBIs against Milwaukee this season. Kubel has 18 hits in his last 13 games.

2. Reigning National League MVP Ryan Braun returned after missing Wednesday's game with a bruised left elbow. Braun, who went 1-for-4, failed to get a hit in three at-bats versus Miley on May 26.

3. Arizona's Willie Bloomquist went 2-for-3 on Friday to record his 17th multi-hit game since May 15.

About Units and “ROI”

Units are a standardized measurement used to determine the size of each of your bets relative to your bankroll. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 and you bet 5% of your bankroll each time, each of your units is worth $10. A bettor with a $2000 bankroll who bets 5% per bet has units of $100. We use the number of units to standardize the amount the trend is up or down across different bet amounts.

ROI is the best indicator of success and measures how much you bet vs. how much you profited. Any positive ROI is good in sports betting with great long-term bettors sitting in the 5-7% range.
