The Texas Rangers saw their winning streak snapped at seven games, but it took 11 runs and 17 hits by the Colorado Rockies to bring it to an end. The Rangers will look to win their fifth straight series - all against National League opponents - when they host the Rockies in Sunday's rubber game. Even after falling into an 11-1 hole, the Rangers did not go quietly Saturday, getting a pair of homers from Nelson Cruz and three hits from red-hot Adrian Beltre while piling up 15 hits of their own.

Rockies manager Jim Tracy's four-man rotation and 75-pitch limit for each starter flunked its first test. Josh Outman entered the fifth inning Saturday with a 10-run lead and sitting at 69 pitches. Tracy allowed him to throw 92 pitches but Outman was unable to get the third out and had to settle for a no-decision. Colorado got great production from 7-8-9 hitters Chris Nelson, Wil Nieves and Dexter Fowler, who were a combined 8-for-13 with five RBIs.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Rockies RH Alex White (2-5, 6.06 ERA) vs. Rangers LH Matt Harrison (9-3, 3.41 ERA)

White did not factor in the decision after he was unable to get through the fourth inning last time out, yielding five runs and five hits in 3 2/3 innings against Philadelphia. He lost his previous start to Oakland, lasting only four innings and permitting four runs on seven hits. He has allowed only one of his eight homers on the road, a plus against Texas' power-laden lineup.

Harrison will be seeking an American League-best 10th win. He has won five consecutive decisions and has been brilliant in interleague play. In his last three starts, all against NL foes, he is 2-0 with an 0.40 ERA. He won at San Diego in his last start, limiting the Padres to one run in six innings. It's the only run Harrison has allowed in 22 1/3 innings spanning his past three starts.

WALK-OFFS

1. Beltre has seven multi-hit games in his last nine and is batting 500 (17-for-34) with three homers and 11 RBIs in that stretch.

2. The Rockies improved to 2-12 in interleague play and are 3-13 overall in their last 16 games.

3. Rangers CF Craig Gentry had to leave Saturday's game after aggravating an ankle injury sustained in Friday's win.
