My Man City vs Al Ain best bet: Man City -2 (-125 @ bet365)
We’ve got four Club World Cup games on tap Sunday, headlined by Man City vs. Al Ain, and this one’s a mismatch on paper.
Al Ain are a solid domestic side from the UAE, but they’re out of their depth here. Man City, one of the best teams on the planet, bring a squad full of global stars and one of the best managers in the game in Pep Guardiola.
We saw how outclassed Al Ain were in their opener, getting thumped 5-0 by a very average Juventus team. Juve barely cracked the Top 4 in Serie A last season, yet dominated with 64% possession and five goals on just 16 shots. Now Al-Ain face a City side that’s even better, and just rested Erling Haaland.
City eased past Wydad AC 2-0 in their opener, cruising through the second half with 68% of the ball. They’ll want to wrap up qualification here so they can rest players in the final group game.
This should get ugly fast. Al Ain’s defense looked overwhelmed, and City won’t let up. Take Man City -2 as they should have this game wrapped up by halftime.

Erling Haaland only played 30 minutes against Wydad Casablanca in the last game, but he should start here. He’s scored 42 goals for club and country this season and is always the most likely goal scorer when he’s on the pitch for Man City. Given how much the Juventus players enjoyed their game against Al-Ain last time out, we should expect Haaland to net.
Then, to wrap up this SGP, we’re taking both teams not to score. City should win this, but it’s hard to see Al-Ain get a goal. City’s likely back four is packed with star players, and they should be able to keep the UAE team out. Al-Ain weren’t effective in the Juventus box in their most recent game, and given how well City played in their last game, having 68% possession and allowing just two shots on target, it feels unlikely they concede.
