If you are like me, you have a hard time keeping track of all of the leading Republicans who are facing or have been convicted of criminal charges or serious scandal. Fortunately, there is a Scorecard to help you keep track.

The list is incomplete, of course. But comments to the post help us out:

Congress:

Former Congressman Bill Janklow(R-SD) Convicted and jailed for killing a man with his car after blowing through a stopsign at a high rate of speed.

Governors:

John Rowland(R-CT)Convicted and jailed for graft, had work done on his house and some other bribe related charges.

George Ryan(R-IL) Under indictment for hiring practices.(I notice you had Blagojevich--this one must have slipped your mind)

Jim McGreevy(D-NJ) Resigned under fire sexual relationship with a male staffmember.

Executive:

Lewis Libby(R)-Assistant to the Vice President, 5 count indictment, perjury, false statements.

Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Don Sherwood had a visit from the Washington police after a 29-year old woman who was not the 64-year old congressman's wife called 911 and complained that Sherwood had choked her. Sherwood said he had merely been giving the woman a back rub. He is one of those holier-than-thou family values conservatives.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA)
Ethics probe for accepting salary from two men’s fitness magazines while governor, possible kickback from American Media publisher to Schwarzenegger charity and silence money to a woman who had an extramarital affair with Schwarzenegger. This probe may go criminal.

Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-CA)
Probed for bribery regarding financial ties with and favors for defense firm MZM. Pleaded guilty to tax evasion, conspiracy, Nov. 28, 2005.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA)
Tied to Abramoff scandal on loan papers. Recipient of contributions from Abramoff.

Gov. John Rowland (R-CT)
Convicted, imprisoned 2004 for accepting free renovations to his vacation cottage as well as charter flights and vacations from a state contractor, and defrauding the Internal Revenue Service by not paying taxes on the free services.

Attorney General Jane Brady (R-DE)
Accused of helping MBNA Bank of Wilmington skirt campaign finance laws.

Rep. Katherine Harris (R-FL)
Probed for campaign donations from MZM, Inc. in relation to Duke Cunningham probe. Currently a US Senate candidate.

Rep. Tom Feeney (R-FL)
Recipient of contributions from Abramoff. Probed for corporate ties to Yang Enterprises, involved in over billing state of Florida. Feeney was Jeb Bush’s 1994 running mate for Lt. Gov.

Sherwood, who is married and campaigned for office on "family values", also has been sued by the woman, who claims he attacked and choked her in their “love nest.” Sherwood defended himself by stating that he wasn't trying to choke her - he was just trying to give her a “back rub”.

Firm, Custer Battles, disbarred from Iraq contracts following allegations of overcharging and money laundering.

Vincent Cianci, Mayor of Providence (R-RI)
Convicted in 2002 and sentenced to 5 years in prison for conspiracy related to Federal charges of racketeering, extortion, witness tampering, and mail fraud. Also resigned from office in 1984 after being convicted of assaulting a man with a lit cigarette, an ashtray and a fireplace log.

Spokane Mayor Jim West (R-WA)
Under Federal and state investigation for abusing his office to obtain sexual favors and soliciting sex over the Internet from underage males.

They should send all these crooks (of both parties) to prison and then ban them from public employment, lose their law licenses etc.  Politicians=crooks in most instances, both parties.

I think both parties have proven quite well that they are both adept at producing scumbags, not sure what the contest is about here when this affects everyone with their actions.  I think people need to start looking at this as an us versus them and not dems vs repubs.

Second, Mta and Darkhorse, you guys have nailed it. The Repubs in here throw out their crap without expecting a response like you guys unloaded on them. While both sides have had their share of degenerates the Neo-Cons and GOP have far exceeded anything ever seen before in public life. Your voluminous list exposes the fact that however.morally corrupt the Dems are,(and they are no shining example) the GOP is incomparable. The main difference I see is that the family values boys seem to involve themselves with little boys more than the Dems who for the most part seem to get mixed up with with women, often of ill repute.In any event there is great room for improvement on both sides. By the way maybe I missed it , but how about Mr. Bridge to nowhere Ted Stevens of Alaska who should be soon reporting to the local Greybar motel in Fairbanks.Or hopefully Karl Rove, Alberto Gonzalez Harriet Meiers, and most of all Dick Cheney who all should be guests of our Federal Correctional system.Lastly how about Mr oxycontin Limbaugh who was caught with unprescribed sexual enhancement drugs while travelling alone to the land of underage hookers the Dominican Republic.Just hoping!

Both sides are very corrupt but its downright comical that Apache starts a thread like this and only posts 2 republican names on it.  That in itself shows what kind of republican kool aid drinking zombies we have on this site.  I almost pissed myself when i first read this post and all i keep thinking was Apache cant really be serious with this post.  Some of the people on this site, just refuse to tell the truth about things and will say anything in order to try and make their side look so great

lets add ex republican senate majority leader joe bruno from ny to that list.  He just got indicted on many corruption charges.  The guy is already rich as hell, but that didnt stop him from wanting more illegal money.  Its the greed people have in this country that is destroying us.  Our enemies arent destroying our country, we are doing it from the inside.
