The Panthers are road warriors and won't be intimidated in Edmonton tonight. Look for Carter Verhaeghe to light the lamp in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The Edmonton Oilers are back at home with the Stanley Cup Final tied at 2-2. But their opponent, the Florida Panthers, do not fear Game 5s on the road.

Since 2023, the Panthers are 6-1 in Game 5s as the away team, and 2-0 when the series was tied 2-2 in those games.

This team is built for big moments with guys like Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett ready to step up, as my June 14 NHL picks explain.

NHL anytime goalscorer picks for Panthers vs Oilers Game 5

  • Oilers Perry (+290)
  • Panthers Verhaeghe (+230)
  • Panthers Bennett (+200)

Panthers vs Oilers anytime goalscorer props for tonight

Corey Perry (+290 at BET99)

Corey Perry has been a menace in front of Sergei Bobrovsky this entire series. He should have had a goal in Game 4, but Bobrovsky made a last-ditch effort to rob him with his left toe.

Perry has been a difference-maker for the Edmonton Oilers throughout the postseason. The 40-year-old has nine goals through 20 games and has scored in two of the four games of this Stanley Cup Final.

Game 4 was an interesting one as the Oilers didn't do much offensively in the opening frame, considering they had to play most of it shorthanded. Still, Perry had four shots on goal.

In the previous three games, Perry had combined for 20 shot attempts, with 10 being on goal. Perry has been more dangerous on the power play than at 5-on-5, aside from when he's on the ice with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl as Kris Knoblouch juggles his lines.

Perry has come up clutch multiple times in these playoffs. The Oilers will need to score some ugly goals tonight, and he's the guy to do it.

Carter Verhaeghe (+230 at BET99)

Carter Verhaeghe has the second-most points in the Stanley Cup Final (six) with one goal and five assists, trailing only Leon Draisaitl (seven). Verhaeghe is known more for his goal-scoring rather than his playmaking, so it is somewhat surprising to see him have more assists than goals. That said, has there been a more clutch Florida Panther over the past three postseasons?

Since the 2023 postseason, Verhaeghe has the third-most goals in the playoffs, scoring 25 in 66 games.

This postseason, Verhaeghe has tallied seven goals through 20 games, but his line has been incredibly impactful. Verhaeghe, Matthew Tkachuk, and Sam Bennett have been skating to a 3.03 expected goals per 60 minutes.

Verhaeghe has been generating around five shot attempts per game in the Stanley Cup Final, so he will get his looks tonight.

Sam Bennett (+200 at BET99)

Sam Bennett has been far and away the best Panther in this postseason.

He's recorded a point in all four games thus far, but Game 4 was the only game of this series that he didn't score in. Bennett scored three goals in the two games played in Edmonton thus far, and if the Panthers are going to win tonight, he's certainly going to have something to do with it.

Bennett has 21 points in 21 games but has scored 14 goals, which leads all skaters in the playoffs. He also set a record for most goals scored on the road in a postseason in NHL history (12), so the Edmonton crowd does not intimidate him whatsoever.

Prior to Game 4, Bennett had scored in four straight games. He's had the hottest hand for Florida all postseason long and has scored in five straight games on the road. If there's one guy on this roster that's been reliable to bury one, it's been Bennett.
