Rangers vs Bruins best bet: Over 5.5 (-130)
There have been six or more total goals scored in three of the New York Rangers’ past four games, and it is no coincidence that backup goaltender Jonathan Quick started in three of those four outings due to Igor Shesterkin’s injury.
Across those three starts, Quick is 0-2-1 with a fade-worthy .813 save percentage and a 4.35 goals-against average. With Shesterkin placed on injured reserve, Quick is once again expected to start Saturday.
In fairness to Quick, he is playing behind one of the league’s weakest blue lines. This season, New York ranks 25th in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60).
There are not many teams worse defensively than the Rangers, but the Boston Bruins are one of them. Entering this matchup, Boston ranks 30th in xGA/60.
Backing up the Bruins’ blue line is goaltender Jeremy Swayman, who is coming off a poor outing against the Seattle Kraken. In that game, Swayman surrendered six goals on 26 shots for a .769 save percentage.
Rangers vs Bruins same-game parlay
If there are six or more total goals scored, production will likely come from both sides. There may not be two better candidates than David Pastrnak and Mika Zibanejad.
Both players enter this matchup in good form, with Pastrnak scoring six goals over his past eight games and Zibanejad scoring four over his past three.
