There’s a quartet of games on the docket on Wednesday, January 14, and I’ve got a trio of NHL player props to cover you throughout the night.
My top NHL picks begin with sneaky winger Eeli Tolvanen from the rolling Seattle Kraken and conclude with Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Shea Theodore in the nightcap.

Our best NHL player props for Wednesday, January 14
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Eeli Tolvanen Over 1.5 shots on goal
Seattle Kraken winger Eeli Tolvanen has recorded two or more shots in eight of his past 10 games while pacing the team with 25 on a team-high 44 attempts. He’s a go-to shooter and ranks in the 88th percentile of forwards in SOG from the mid-range.
Add Tolvanen’s consistent middle-six role with an average of 17:48 of ice time during the highlighted stretch, and I anticipate him registering 2+ shots again tonight.

Prop #2: Owen Tippett Over 2.5 shots on goal
The Buffalo Sabres have surrendered the fifth-most shots per game (29.8), including a healthy 30.3 through eight games out of the holiday break, so this is a soft matchup for Philadelphia Flyers winger Owen Tippett to continue peppering the net.
Tippett has recorded 3+ SOG in seven of his past 10 games while leading the Flyers in both shots (36) and attempts (65). I also value his rock-solid 54.0 Corsi For percentage and 54.7% shot share at 5-on-5 during the stretch, as the Sabres rank below the breakeven mark in both categories for the campaign.

Prop #3: Shea Theodore Over 1.5 shots on goal
While there’s no sugarcoating the tough matchup the Los Angeles Kings present against opposing shooters, Vegas Golden Knights go-to defenseman Shea Theodore has recorded two or more in 23 of 33 games this season.
Additionally, Los Angeles is 1-2-1 since No. 1 center Anze Kopitar (lower body) hit injured reserve, and his absence alongside middle-six wingers Trevor Moore (upper body) and Joel Armia (upper body) leaves the Kings short-handed up front for this tough Pacific Division matchup.
