The Pittsburgh Penguins face off against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center in Newark after taking down the Rangers last night. The Devils are big favorites on the NHL odds board as they return home to host the Pens.
Both of these teams had higher expectations this season but find themselves on the outside looking in of the playoff picture. Nevertheless, the Devils have had a strong stretch with four wins in their last six games with the Pens also winning three of their last four.

Penguins vs Devils predictions
The New Jersey Devils are set to host the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second time in as many weeks on Tuesday night. The Devils easily dispatched the Penguins 5-2 on March 9 and we could be looking at a similar outcome tonight.
The Penguins may have come away with a 5-2 win over the Rangers last night, but they let the Blueshirts back into the game after going up 3-0 midway through the third period. New York scored twice to make it a 3-2 game before the Penguins added two empty-netters to the final tally.
Pittsburgh was also outshot 30-20 in that game — a contest in which the Penguins exuded a lot of energy to take down one division rival. They should be a step slower and won't have anything to spoil in New Jersey.
The Devils’ main issue this season (along with injuries) has been their goaltending. They switched things up at the trade deadline by acquiring Jake Allen and Kaapo Kahkonen. Allen has been stellar, going 4-3-0 with a .923 SV% and 2.59 GAA in seven starts.
The Penguins’ goaltending situation is a bit up in the air after Tristan Jarry was a late scratch last night. He’s projected to start tonight, but that may not be a great thing as he was in net for the 5-2 loss to the Devils a few weeks ago.

Penguins vs Devils same-game parlay
The Devils have dominated the Penguins in recent years. They’ve won the past seven meetings, including both games this season by a final score of 5-2. Going back to February 18 of last season, the Devils have outscored the Penguins 20-7 in four games.
The Penguins should have some fatigue after a hard-fought win last night and the Devils should be able to take advantage at home. We’ll happily take another 5-2 final in New Jersey’s favor.
