Jack Roslovic has produced shots at a remarkably consistent rate this season, particularly when playing in Edmonton.

My Kings vs. Oilers predictions expect another productive night against a team giving up plenty of volume to his position.

Let’s dive into my NHL picks for Saturday, January 10.

Kings vs Oilers prediction

Kings vs Oilers best bet: Jack Roslovic Over 1.5 shots (-120)

Jack Roslovic has recorded multiple shots in 23 of 31 games, averaging 2.3 per night while going Over a remarkable 74% of the time.

Where he’s really done damage is at home. The Edmonton Oilers center averages 2.5 shots on 4.2 attempts in Edmonton and has gone over in 11 of 12.

That’s a 92% success rate. The only team he failed to record two shots against at home was the Philadelphia Flyers, a very low-event team that suppresses shots at an elite rate while playing at one of the league’s slowest paces.

The Los Angeles Kings have a similar reputation, but they haven’t lived up to it this season. In fact, they rank 26th in shots against vs. forwards and have given up the 2nd most shots to opposing centers.

Roslovic is centering the 3rd line for the Oilers and hovering around 15 minutes per night, which is more than enough time to take advantage of such a strong matchup.

He’s certainly had no problem doing so in similar spots. Isolating teams that rank Bottom-10 in limiting shots to forwards, Roslovic has generated 2+ shots in all four home games and recorded 3+ in three of them.

Kings vs Oilers same-game parlay

Leon Draisaitl has tormented the Kings for years. He’s scored at least once in 14 of the past 24 head-to-head matchups (58.3%) and has piled up 18 goals along the way. With the Kings bleeding shots to centers, it’s easy to envision Draisaitl building on those outputs.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has averaged 1.2 points per game at home with Draisaitl, Connor McDavid, and Zach Hyman all in the lineup. Most of those points have come by way of assist, which is to be expected given how efficiently those three players score goals.

Kings vs Oilers SGP

  • Jack Roslovic Over 1.5 shots
  • Leon Draisaitl anytime goalscorer
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Over 0.5 assists
