Jets vs Kraken prediction

Jets vs Kraken Best bet: Jets moneyline (-140)

The Winnipeg Jets have some serious underlying concerns, with league-low ranks in both Corsi For percentage and expected goals percentage at 5-on-5.

Still, Winnipeg righted the ship with a 5-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday, and the Jets have Connor Hellebuyck backstopping them to the tune of a .921 save percentage and 2.36 GAA with 14.31 goals saved above expected across 12 starts.

It’s the complete opposite in the Seattle Kraken crease, too.

There’s a five-year sample in Seattle of Philipp Grubauer playing poorly, as the veteran sports a career .890 SV% and 3.06 GAA with the Kraken.

Winnipeg has also been the better club on special teams, and there should be a particular mismatch against Seattle's 30th-ranked penalty-kill.

Put another tally in the wins column for Winnipeg tonight.

Jets vs Kraken same-game parlay

Seattle has generated the fewest expected goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5, and Winnipeg checks in just two spots higher in 30th. It has resulted in the Kraken scoring just 2.5 per game and, as highlighted, the Winnipeg net is in good hands with Hellebuyck between the pipes.

The Jets have also played to the Under in 54 of their last 95 games (+10.30 Units / 10% ROI).

Turning to Winnipeg No. 1 center Mark Scheifele, he’s picked up two or more shots in 12 of 16 games this season, including seven of the past nine. Scheifele is averaging a healthy 20:13 of ice time per game with 3:36 on the power play, too.
