With five straight wins, the New England Patriots are the hottest team in the NFL, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to cool them off when the Pats visit Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
Rushing yards will come at a premium in this matchup, which is why I’m looking at a pair of receiving props as well as a combo line for a Pats running back ready to take on more work.
Check out my Patriots vs. Buccaneers player props and NFL picks for November 9.
Patriots vs Buccaneers props
| Player | Pick | |
|---|---|---|
| Over 72.5 receiving yards | -114 | |
| Over 33.5 receiving yards | -114 | |
| Over 72.5 rushing + receiving yards | -112 |
Prop bet #1: Emeka Egbuka Over 72.5 receiving yards
In Week 6, Emeka Egbuka played his fewest snaps of the season due to his hamstring injury and recorded just 24 receiving yards. In the three games prior, he finished with 163, 101, and 85 receiving yards. Over the last three weeks, he’s totaled just 107 receiving yards, operating at less than 100%.
Egbuka had the bye week to get healthy, and after three straight duds, he's due for a bounce-back performance. The New England Patriots have allowed the fewest rushing yards per game this season, so expect Baker Mayfield to air it out to his favorite target.
Prop bet #2: DeMario Douglas Over 35.5 receiving yards
DeMario Douglas finished with a season-high 100 yards in Week 9, and he’ll look to keep the momentum going in Week 10. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers allow the eighth-fewest rushing yards but the 11th-most passing yards, which should lead to a focus on the passing game from New England.
Douglas’ season-best performance came as Kayshon Boutte suffered a hamstring injury, but Douglas topped 36 receiving yards in two of three before Boutte’s injury. Boutte will be sidelined in Week 10, so expect plenty of work for Douglas. He should have no problem clearing this modest receiving line.
Prop bet #3: TreVeyon Henderson Over 72.5 rushing + receiving yards
TreVeyon Henderson is hot heading into Week 10, and I expect him to see plenty of touches in this one. In Week 8, he posted 75 yards on 10 touches, and in Week 9, with Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) out, he posted 87 yards on 18 touches.
Stevenson is sidelined again, which means Henderson should be the lead back. While Tampa Bay’s rush defense is far better than its pass defense, volume alone should help get Henderson over the mark to build on his season-best performance in Week 9.
