Two AFC rivals looking to get off to 2-0 starts will meet up in Week 2 as the Las Vegas Raiders host the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football.

My Chargers vs. Raiders prop picks like Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles passing game to continue to put up big numbers on Monday. I’m also looking for Las Vegas to find improvements in the running game with Ashton Jeanty.

Read on for my free NFL picks for Monday, September 15. And for more on this game, check out Rohit Ponnaiya's Chargers vs. Raiders predictions.

Chargers vs Raiders MNF props

  • Raiders Jeanty o66.5 rush yds (+100)
  • Chargers McConkey o5.5 recs (-137)

Justin Herbert Over 254.5 passing yards

-115 at bet365

There were plenty of pundits calling Justin Herbert’s Week 1 performance against the Kansas City Chiefs a breakout performance, and just as many saying it meant nothing because it didn’t happen in a bigger game.

In reality, both takes are ignoring the fact that this is simply a continuation of the types of performances we’ve seen out of Herbert for years.

No doubt, last week’s game was an excellent one for the Chargers quarterback. Herbert went for 318 yards and three touchdowns, completing 25 of 34 passes along the way. He continued to be safe with the ball — he had only three interceptions in all of 2024 — while pushing the ball downfield a bit more than we saw last year.

Herbert has sometimes been inconsistent on his yardage props, and he started the 2024 season slowly. But he finished up with three straight games of 280+ yards, and Week 1 made it four in a row. Against a Raiders defense that allowed 287 yards to Drake Maye, I’m taking Herbert to hit the Over.

Ashton Jeanty Over 66.5 rushing yards

+100 at bet365

Ashton Jeanty was an absolute monster in college with the Boise State Broncos, leading all FBS players with 2,601 yards rushing in the 2024 season. He averaged 7.0 yards per carry and found the end zone 29 times in 14 games, leading the Las Vegas Raiders to take him sixth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The hype didn’t lead to much production in Week 1. Jeanty did get a score, but only totaled 38 yards on 19 carries for the Raiders. The good news is that the investment into Jeanty means that Las Vegas will continue to feed him the ball for the time being, as they expect big things from the 21-year-old.

Jeanty should have a bit of a softer matchup in Week 2. As good as the Chargers looked overall against the Chiefs, they did allow Kansas City to run for 5.8 yards per carry, a number that the Raiders will certainty look to exploit.

While Jeanty’s total might look high given his Week 1 performance, it’s still a pretty modest number. If he can either break one long run or find sustained success against the Los Angeles front, he’ll get to the Over.

Ladd McConkey Over 5.5 receptions

-137 at bet365

It didn’t take long for Herbert to decide that Ladd McConkey was one of his favorite targets in the passing game, as the former Georgia Bulldogs standout caught five balls in his debut — incidentally, against the Raiders — last year. By the end of last season, that role was solidified, with McConkey catching at least five balls in his last seven regular season games — a total he hit easily in his first playoff performance (nine catches) and in Week 1 against the Chiefs this year (six catches).

There’s little reason to expect McConkey to slow down in Week 2. Las Vegas allowed two different receives — Stefon Diggs and Kayshon Boutte — to catch six balls each in Week 1. Even though they did an excellent job against Diggs, who only went for 57 yards on those six catches, he was still able to get open enough to make plays.

That’s why I’m targeting McConkey’s receptions total rather than his yardage tonight. It’s possible that the Raiders look to avoid giving up big plays, but it’s almost impossible to imagine that McConkey won’t continue to get targeted repeatedly by Herbert.

Even at relatively short odds, the Over is the clear play on 5.5 receptions.
