The Los Angeles Chargers have surged to a 10-4 record by winning six of their last seven games and now head to AT&T Stadium to face the 6-7-1 Dallas Cowboys this afternoon.

My Chargers vs. Cowboys predictions and top NFL picks are calling for the good times to keep rolling for Los Angeles with the Bolts handing Dallas a third consecutive loss this afternoon.

Chargers vs Cowboys prediction

Chargers vs Cowboys Best bet: Chargers moneyline (+112)

The Los Angeles Chargers have consecutive outright wins as an underdog, while the Dallas Cowboys have lost outright in back-to-back games as a favorite.

Los Angeles has also won six of seven to improve to 10-4 for the campaign, and Dallas is all but officially eliminated from the postseason at 6-7-1.

Additionally, just when it looked like the Dallas defense might be turning the corner, the Cowboys have given up 78 points while allowing the fourth-highest EPA per play the past two weeks.

Dallas now sits 30th in defensive DVOA while allowing the third-highest EPA per play and second-most points per game (30.0). And, for comparison, Los Angeles ranks ninth in defensive DVOA while allowing the fifth-lowest EPA per play and ninth-fewest points per game.

I also value the Chargers averaging the second-longest drive time for the season, while also dominating the time of possession in three consecutive games. The Bolts rushed 110 times alongside quarterback Justin Herbert’s 75 passing attempts during the 3-0 surge out of their Week 12 bye.

Keeping the Dallas offense on the sidelines with clock-churning drives to avoid a road shootout will be priority No. 1 for Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, and it’s a recipe for pulling off the upset Sunday afternoon at AT&T Stadium.

Chargers vs Cowboys same-game parlay

Bolts back Omarion Hampton has cleared this total in consecutive games since returning to action, and he’s totaled a respectable 117 yards on 28 carries for 4.2 per tote.

Additionally, backfield mate Kimani Vidal has been held to 3.0 yards per carry across his 26 touches the past two weeks.

The matchup also checks out.

Dallas has allowed the fourth-highest EPA per rush and rushing success rate while ranking 28th in PFF run defense grade and 29th in run defense DVOA, after all.

Add the Cowboys allowing 15 touchdowns to opposing running backs through 14 games, and I also like Hampton to find paydirt Sunday.

Chargers vs Cowboys SGP

  • Chargers moneyline
  • Omarion Hampton Over 47.5 rushing yards
  • Omarion Hampton anytime touchdown

Our big-ticket SGP: Pickens picks it up

Cowboys receiver George Pickens has been quiet the past two weeks with just eight receptions for 70 yards, so I’m expecting a rebound game and trip to the end zone for TD No. 9 of the year.

Chargers vs Cowboys SGP

  • Chargers moneyline
  • Omarion Hampton Over 47.5 rushing yards
  • Omarion Hampton anytime touchdown
  • George Pickens anytime touchdown

Chargers vs Cowboys game predictions

Chargers vs Cowboys moneyline prediction

I don’t think the Cowboys should be a betting favorite against anyone, given there’s no stop in the Dallas defense. Additionally, the offense hasn’t been as sharp the past two weeks, with ranks of 20th in EPA per play and 22nd in offensive DVOA.

Chargers vs Cowboys spread prediction

There’s a strong case to take the points with L.A., but I prefer the longer odds with the moneyline, considering all the prices are correlated. The Chargers are also a prime target for 6-point teasers with the spread moving up to +8.5 and through multiple key numbers.

Chargers vs Cowboys Over/Under prediction

The Bolts have played to the Under in four of their past five, and this is the highest total of the season for Los Angeles. Additionally, I expect Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh to try and steer clear of a road shootout, and Los Angeles has had success dominating the time of possession in three consecutive games by rushing the ball 110 times alongside just 75 Herbert passing attempts.

Chargers vs Cowboys odds

  • Spread: Los Angeles +2.5 (-112) | Dallas -2.5 (-108)
  • Moneyline: Los Angeles +112 | Dallas -132
  • Over/Under: Over 49.5 (-115) | Under 49.5 (-105)
