The last two NFL MVP winners face off tonight with Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford getting the Monday Night Football spotlight, though our Bills vs. Rams AI picks focus on the Rams’ running game with Buffalo missing star defensive lineman Ed Oliver when these teams meet tonight at 8:15 pm ET on ESPN/ABC from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

Our AI model projects a 27-24 Rams victory as part of our NFL AI predictions for Week 5. Below, we break down Rams -2.5 and Under 54.5, along with our best anytime touchdown pick using the latest odds from the best prediction market apps.

The Rams have a path to winning this game that starts with keeping Matthew Stafford out of difficult passing downs. Oliver’s absence gives Kyren Williams an opening against Buffalo’s interior, and productive early runs can make the Bills respect play-action instead of attacking the pocket. Buffalo needs a similar balance with James Cook, especially with Joshua Palmer out and DJ Moore questionable. Quick completions would help Josh Allen avoid holding the ball against a Rams rush that can end drives. Our three-point projection supports Rams -2.5, still available on Kalshi, but leaves little room to spare. It does not support laying -3.5.

Our 51-point projection puts us on Under 54.5 while still allowing both offenses to reach the mid-20s. Josh Inglis’ Bills vs. Rams prediction takes the Over, highlighting Buffalo’s defensive problems and Allen’s ability to keep pace. That is the danger here: explosive gains and short fields can erase the cushion quickly. For the Under to hold, Los Angeles needs to make Buffalo sustain drives and turn a few scoring opportunities into field goals. Williams can help at the other end by extending possessions and reducing the number of chances Allen gets. We land at Rams 27, Bills 24.

Kyren Williams is our touchdown pick after dominating the Rams’ backfield work last week. He played 82% of the offensive snaps against Philadelphia and outcarried Blake Corum 16-5. More useful for this pick: Williams has seven red-zone carries over the last two games, while Corum has none. That gives us a clear reason to expect Williams to get the ball when Los Angeles is close enough to finish a drive.

Oliver’s absence adds to the appeal, though Buffalo can still crowd the line near the goal line. Stafford’s receiving options make that a difficult choice: committing extra defenders to Williams leaves fewer in coverage. With the Rams projected to score 27 points, we like their lead back to account for one touchdown. The Kalshi anytime-touchdown quote is 59%; the case rests on his scoring opportunities, without needing him to break a long run.

How our NFL AI predictions work

Our NFL AI predictions use a custom forecasting model built with GPT-6 Astra to project a final score for each matchup using historical scoring results, team-strength ratings, game conditions, matchup details, and other relevant context for predicting the final score.

The score forecasts are fixed before we compare them with the selected Kalshi spread and total to produce our ATS and Over/Under picks. Kalshi percentages are market quotes, separate from the score forecasts. We track results against the original selections and lines at time of publish.

We’ll continue updating the process as the season develops and publicly track every published score prediction, ATS pick, and Over/Under selection.

Odds and market lines are correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.
