All eyes will be on quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels when the Chicago Bears visit the Washington Commanders at Northwest Stadium on Monday, October 13.

My early Bears vs. Commanders predictions and NFL picks call for Washington to take down a high-scoring game on Monday Night Football.

Bears vs Commanders predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early MNF spread pick: Commanders -4.5

-110 at bet365

With Washington Commanders superstar quarterback Jayden Daniels proving his health with a solid Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, I’m confident backing him to lead the way to covering the number again this week.

Daniels aired it out for 8.9 yards per attempt against a good Los Angeles defense, and he did so without No. 1 wide receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring). McLaurin has an extra day to recover ahead of Monday Night Football, and even if he’s out again, I still expect the Washington offense to show off against a broken Chicago Bears defense.

The Bears should be better following their Week 5 bye, but there’s no glossing over them allowing the most yards per play, fourth-most points per game allowed, and the highest success rate.

Add Chicago ranking 23rd in defensive DVOA and 25th in PFF defense grade, and there’s more going on than a bye week can fix, especially on the road against a dynamic quarterback.

Early MNF total pick: Over 50

-110 at bet365

With the case for Washington having success on offense out of the way, Chicago will also put points on the board.

Chicago ranks 10th with an average of 25.3 points per game and has gone Over the number in three of four games, with the outlier being their 31-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2.

Chicago QB Caleb Williams has also shown signs of improvement to start the season, and he has talented weapons at his disposal.

And, while I expect Washington to make more stops than Chicago, Williams and the Bears aren’t facing a top-tier defense in Week 6. The Commanders defense checks in with ranks of 24th in PFF grade and 19th in DVOA, after all.
