Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to continue their surprisingly strong season as they play host to a New England Patriots team riding a six-game winning streak.

Mayfield has slowed down over the past couple of weeks, but I’m predicting he’ll be able to move the ball in my Patriots vs. Buccaneers predictions.

Let’s take a look at the Baker Mayfield odds in my free NFL picks for Sunday, November 9.

Baker Mayfield prop pick

Baker Mayfield best bet: Over 244.5 passing yards (-114 at FanDuel)

Baker Mayfield’s first six weeks of the season were the stuff of legend. Through those games, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback went 5-1, passing for 12 touchdowns and throwing only one interception.

Although he’s come back down to earth over the last few games, Mayfield should benefit from a New England Patriots secondary that hasn’t exactly been stout against the pass. New England remains vulnerable in the air, as opponents are completing 69.1% of their passes for a robust 7.0 yards per attempt.

How much Tampa Bay will score is up for debate, but I fully expect the offense to move the ball and get to Mayfield’s yardage total.

Patriots moneyline

A big day from Mayfield should lead to points, and the Patriots have cashed the Over in three straight games, making me confident that these teams will combine to reach the total on Sunday.

However, in the end, I like the red-hot Patriots to squeak out a win in Tampa Bay.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
