49ers vs Browns Predictions - Early Picks & Odds for Week 13

Our early 49ers vs. Browns picks have little faith in Shedeur Sanders' ability to keep things close in what should be a messy tilt this Sunday.

Cleveland Browns NFL Shedeur Sanders

The San Francisco 49ers are in the thick of an NFC postseason push, while the Cleveland Browns are auditioning a third starting quarterback with rookie Shedeur Sanders set to make his second consecutive start when the two teams meet at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday, November 30.

My early 49ers vs. Browns predictions and NFL picks are calling for San Fran to put just enough points on the board to pull away from Cleveland and cover the number in Week 13.

Early 49ers vs Browns spread pick: 49ers -6.5

+100 at FanDuel

The Cleveland Browns are set to face a huge uptick in class on Sunday, with the 8-4 San Francisco 49ers showing up offensively and covering three straight as the betting favorite.

San Fran was fifth in offensive DVOA and 12th overall before a 20-9 Monday Night Football win over the Carolina Panthers, while Cleveland checked in last in offense and 29th overall following its own 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12.

The only question ahead of this Week 13 tilt at Huntington Bank Field is if the Cleveland defense can hold the San Fran offense in check enough to cover the number. Because even with the defensive shortcomings for the Niners, I’m not anticipating Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders to lead an offensive breakout.

The Niners also just showed up under the bright lights, and with the offense as healthy as it's been all season, it stands to take even more pressure off the defense.

Plus, Sanders has completed just 41.7% of his passes for an NFL low 28.9% success rate and the second-lowest adjusted EPA per play the past two weeks, after all.

It might not be pretty drive-in and drive-out for San Fran against a tough Cleveland defense, but with this spread below the key number of 7, I like the Niners to cover in Week 13.

Early 49ers vs Browns total pick: Under 39.5

-110 at FanDuel

While it’s still a little early to lean too heavy on the weather forecast for Sunday, unfavorable conditions are likely with calls for rain and near-freezing conditions paired with wind.

Pair the likely tough conditions with an elite statistical defense, and San Fran is likely to have hiccups, while the outlook isn’t rosy for Sanders given his highlighted early struggles at the highest level.

This is also the highest total for a Cleveland home game since Week 3, when the Browns topped the Green Bay Packers 13-10.

Additionally, with both the Niners and Brownies trending to the Over recently with respective 3-1 and 4-1 runs, I think we’re landing a higher total than we should in this matchup.
