College Football Anytime Touchdown Picks for Week 3

Despite not racking up copious amounts of yards through two games, LSU Tigers RB Caden Durham has found the end zone each time out. That will continue in Week 3 against the Florida Gators.

Entering Week 3 of the college football season, stars are already emerging across the country. But that doesn’t mean we have to stick to the obvious picks when making our TD scorer prop bets.

Sure, I’m looking at Caden Durham to score again for the LSU Tigers, but I’m also looking at two underdogs - CJ Daniels and Eli Raridon - to reach the end zone.

Let’s take a closer look at my favorite TD scorer props in my free college football picks for Week 3.

College football anytime touchdown picks for Week 3

Prop bet #1: CJ Daniels anytime TD

+110 at FanDuel

CJ Daniels already has three touchdowns for the Miami Hurricanes in his first two games with the school, but he’s already proven he can find the end zone. He spent four seasons with the Liberty Flames, and by 2023, he was the primary target in the passing game, compiling over 1,000 yards while scoring 10 touchdowns.

Daniels has three scores in two games for the Hurricanes, and he’s done this on only 10 total receptions. Still, it’s clear that the experienced senior is one of Carson Beck's (alongside Malachi Toney) two favored targets, and that he has the most potential for explosive plays, already going for 40 yards on a reception once this year – Miami's longest play.

On Saturday, Miami will have the chance to put up plenty of points against the South Florida Bulls, a team worthy of praise after its 2-0 start, but which ultimately will fall short in too many areas against the Hurricanes. With plus money, Daniels is well worth a TD bet.

Prop bet #2: Eli Raridon anytime TD

+190 at FanDuel

It’s not often that I recommend a TD scorer prop for a player who hasn’t found the end zone this year and only has three total touchdowns in his career, but that’s the case for Notre Dame Fighting Irish tight end Eli Raridon, who has significant value given his odds for this weekend.

Raridon was one of the bright spots for Notre Dame during its 27-24 loss to Miami in Week 1. He caught five passes for 97 yards against the Hurricanes, leading the Irish in both categories. That’s the kind of performance that tells me quarterback CJ Carr won’t be afraid to use his tight end, especially against the tougher opponents on the schedule, when hitting wide receivers consistently may prove tougher.

That’s likely to be the case in Week 3, as the Irish face the Texas A&M Aggies at home in South Bend. There’s no guarantee that Raridon suddenly becomes a primary red-zone target, but given what we saw in the last game, he’s more than worth a bet at +190.

Prop bet #3: Caden Durham anytime TD

-145 at FanDuel

Caden Durham came into the 2025 season as one of the nation's most highly-touted running backs after a productive freshman year with the LSU Tigers. In his first two games of 2025, Durham hasn’t exactly run over the opposition, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry on 30 attempts.

It’s still early, though, and that level of usage suggests that LSU doesn’t plan to go away from its balanced offensive approach anytime soon. Durham has more than three times as many carries as any other player on the Tigers roster, and has also gotten a fair amount of touches in the passing game, catching five balls for 54 yards.

Most importantly for our purposes, failing to generate too much yardage on the ground hasn’t stopped Durham from scoring, as he has two touchdowns in LSU’s first two games. He should get just as many carries this week against the Florida Gators, who are coming off allowing 4.4 yards per carry to South Florida. LSU’s offensive line will create holes for Durham, and he’ll get the ball enough near the end zone to pick up at least one score.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
