From cupcake scheduling to primetime matchups, there’s a wide range of action on tap for Week 2 of the college football season, and that means plenty of TD scorer props for us to choose from.

I’m looking to balance what we saw in Week 1 with what we know from previous seasons. That means counting on veterans like Romello Brinson of the SMU Mustangs and reliable options like Texas Longhorns tight end Jack Endries to find the end zone on Saturday.

Let’s take a look at three great NCAAF TD scorer props in my free college football picks for Week 2.

College football anytime touchdown picks for Week 2

  • SMU Brinson (+105)
  • Texas Endries (+105)
  • Mississippi Diggs (+135)

Prop bet #1: Romello Brinson anytime TD

Romello Brinson got only sparing usage last year in the SMU Mustangs offense, catching 13 balls for 135 yards and no scores in an injury-shortened season. But after just one game, it’s clear that the senior wide receiver is going to be a focal point of the passing attack, as he collected seven passes for 121 yards and a touchdown against the East Texas A&M Lions in Week 1.

It won’t be so easy to repeat that performance against the Baylor Bears in Week 2, as this should be a competitive matchup even with the Mustangs at home. Baylor hasn’t been tested against the pass yet, at the Auburn Tigers ran the ball down the Bears’ throats last week, throwing only 17 passes.

SMU isn’t going to be nearly that unbalanced, with Kevin Jennings more than capable of testing the Baylor secondary. Jennings was productive in Week 1 and is coming off a year in which he threw for 3,245 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Brinson should once again be his top target and is an excellent TD scorer pick at plus money on Saturday.

Prop bet #2: Jack Endries anytime TD

One of the big stories coming out of Week 1 of the college football season was the disappointing performance of Arch Manning. The Texas Longhorns quarterback threw for just 170 yards and one touchdown along with an interception against the Ohio State Buckeyes, leading to a 14-7 loss that quickly pushed the Longhorns out of their preseason No. 1 ranking.

Manning and Texas have many more tough tests coming later in the season, but they should have time to right the ship first. That starts with what should be a glorified scrimmage against the San Jose State Spartans on Saturday.

This will give Manning a chance to feel out his passing options, and while that will include taking some deep shots, I also expect him to develop his relationship with tight end Jack Endries.

Endries was Manning’s most effective option against Ohio State, catching four balls for 50 yards. The junior has become a surehanded option that can get consistent, solid gains, averaging over 11 yards per reception for his career.

Look for Endries to get in the end zone Saturday and score more often than he did in his two years with the California Golden Bears.

Prop bet #3: Logan Diggs anytime TD

Running back Logan Diggs was productive with both the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2022 and with the LSU Tigers in 2023. He moved on again to the Mississippi Rebels in 2024, but a knee injury kept him out of action until the very end of the season.

That year off may have cost Diggs his chance to be the primary running back for the Rebels, as sophomore Kewan Lacy both took most of the first-team reps in preseason practices and got the bulk of the carries against the Georgia State Panthers in Week 1.

But Diggs is still getting opportunities, running seven times for 91 yards and a score last weekend. Even if Lacy continues to get more reps, Diggs is a proven running back that should get a significant number of carries and be seen as a reliable option that Mississippi can go to for important downs.

After putting up 295 yards on the ground against Georgia State, I expect more of the same from the Rebels against the Kentucky Wildcats, and that means plenty of carries to go around. I expect Diggs to have another productive game and find the end zone.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
