Neemias Queta dropped 32 points against Boise State on Wednesday, but his team lost due to poor 3-point shooting. Can the Aggies improve their deep shooting and get a W in Friday's rematch?

Both Utah State and Boise State received votes in the Coaches Poll last week, but neither cracked the Top-25 rankings. However, one would think that a win in this college basketball betting matchup just might help one of them make a better case in next week’s poll.

NCAAB sharp money and line movement report

By Patrick Everson

Boise State opened as a 2-point home favorite when PointsBet USA posted this game Thursday afternoon. Shortly thereafter, the line dipped to -1.5 and has stayed there ever since. "Very good two-way action on this, with Boise State taking 64 percent of bets, while 68 percent of handle is on Utah State," PointsBet's Wyatt Yearout said of action as of 7:15 p.m. ET. The total is out to 142 from a 139.5 opener, with 76 percent of bets/83 percent of cash on the Over.

Against the spread (ATS) pick

The Aggies and Broncos met on Wednesday night, where Boise State came away with a 79-70 victory. That game was an extremely exciting one, with the feel of an NCAA tournament game. Now, with the two teams playing each other just a couple of days later, adjustments are going to be huge—and that favors the Aggies. Craig Smith is one of the brightest minds in college basketball and he should be able to flip the script a bit for his team.

Another thing that is really important when looking at this one is the fact that Utah State is not going to shoot 18.8 percent from the 3-point line again. This isn’t a great team on the offensive end, but that’s just a ridiculously low number. Brock Miller is a 41.5-percent shooter from deep on the year, but he was 0 for 5 against Boise State the other night, so look for him to knock down a few in this one.

Also, the Broncos scored 79 points when these teams met on Wednesday, but the Aggies are 16th in the nation in adjusted defensive efficiency (all efficiency stats according to KenPom.com). Utah State should be able to hold Boise State to 70 points or so this time around, and that would make a huge difference.

PREDICTION: Utah State +1.5 (-110)

Over/Under Pick

While Utah State should be able to hold Boise State to a bit less than 79 this time around, this one still looks like it’s likely to go Over the total.

As previously mentioned, the Aggies should be able to knock down more than 18.8 percent of their threes in this one, and that would really open things up for them offensively. The extra space would also allow leading scorer Neemias Queta to have more space to operate inside the paint.

Queta had 32 points the last time these teams met, and a similar performance isn’t out of the picture—especially if his teammates are doing their jobs to make things easier on him.

PREDICTION: Over 140.0 (-110)
