It’s been a rough SEC campaign for the Oklahoma Sooners, and it won’t get any easier tonight when they visit Rupp Arena to take on the Kentucky Wildcats.
Otega Oweh is in red-hot form for the Wildcats, and my Oklahoma vs. Kentucky predictions explain why he will cement himself further as a thorn in Sooners fans' sides.

Oklahoma vs Kentucky prediction
Oklahoma vs Kentucky best bet: Otega Oweh Over 19.5 points (-125)
For most of the Kentucky Wildcats, tonight's contest against the Oklahoma Sooners is merely their next SEC contest.
But for Otega Oweh, it’s personal.
The former Sooner became persona non grata in Norman last year when he came into town and dropped 28 points, scoring the winning basket with just six seconds remaining. In fact, he scored Kentucky’s final 18 points by himself in that game.
How does one follow up on that performance? Well, in Oweh’s case, it was by scoring 27 points in the SEC Tournament against them, and driving the length of the court to make a game-winning layup with less than a second remaining.
Now, he takes on the Sooners at home, in the midst of a dominant stretch that reminds people why he was named SEC Preseason Player of the Year. He’s scored at least 20 points in seven of his nine conference outings, missing that mark by just two against Texas.
He’s shooting a career-best from inside the arc, largely because he aggressively attacks the rim. And that’s a recipe for success against an Oklahoma defense that ranks dead last in the conference in 2-point percentage, 12th in adjusted defensive efficiency, and 13th in eFG% in SEC play.
Kentucky needs Oweh to take over games at times, and he’ll happily do so tonight. Porter Moser tried to game-plan for him in the tournament last season and failed, just as other teams have done in SEC play.
I don’t know that we’ll see another game-winner, but I fully expect a motivated Oweh to drop another big scoring performance on his old team.

Oklahoma vs Kentucky same-game parlay
One thing Oklahoma can count on is Nijel Pack firing from distance. The guard has attempted at least seven triples in six of his last seven games, and he’s hit at least three in three straight. The Wildcats tend to allow a fair number of open looks from the perimeter, and he should hit that mark again.
The Wildcats have been getting consistent rebounding play from big man Malachi Moreno of late. He’s picked up 7+ boards in three straight, and faces an Oklahoma team ranked 10th in both offensive and defensive rebounding rate. With the Sooners ranking 13th in eFG% on offense, there will be plenty of opportunities for him to reach his floor.
