A rivalry game will renew when the Louisville Cardinals and Indiana Hoosiers meet in a semi-neutral site game.
The Hoosiers come into this matchup with a fanbase refreshed with optimism. Despite the loss earlier this week to Minnesota, first-year head coach Darian DeVries has reenergized things around the program with more modern basketball. As for the Cardinals, Louisville will look to bounce back after taking its first loss of the season the same night Indiana did.

Louisville vs Indiana best bet: Sananda Fru Over 6.5 rebounds (+120)
If Louisville Cardinals coach Pat Kelsey harped on rebounding once after his team’s first loss of the season, he harped on it a hundred times.
It was one of the prevailing stories from the loss to the Razorbacks, where Louisville was outrebounded by double digits after coming into the matchup with some fairly impressive numbers on the glass. I expect that to be a different story today, and I expect German big man Sananda Fru to be one of the primary reasons why.
Despite the overall poor team effort, Fru pulled down eight boards Wednesday night, which tied his season high. Analytics aside, he’s very much been a player who appears to get more comfortable with the college game each time he hits the floor.
This afternoon, he’ll have a great opportunity to exceed this number against a team that's quietly struggled on the glass, particularly finishing possessions on the defensive end.
This Indiana Hoosiers frontcourt has been virtually uninterested in or incapable of grabbing offensive rebounds, ranking 338th nationally in that rate against its two Quad II opponents.
Louisville’s breakneck pace and 3-point volume create plenty of long rebound chances, and Fru is a good candidate to grab them. Notably, his best efforts on the glass this season have come in games that have featured a frantic pace (82 possessions, 76 possessions), and we should see a similar setup today.

Beyond their average possession length, both of these teams have a very similar analytical profile. The worry for Indiana is that there’s going to be a real adjustment period to seeing this talent level, particularly in the backcourt, because they simply haven’t faced it all year. Louisville has, and I’ll take the Cardinals to grab the first-half cover because of that.
I paired that with the Under. Even though I expect this matchup to be played at a quick pace, I still projected this total in the 159 range. I’ll take a shot.

Our beyond the arc SGP: Go big or go home
Indiana has posted pedestrian numbers defensively against big cuts and rolls, allowing 0.96 points per possession. They’ve done this without having played many opponents that offer an efficient use of such sets.
Louisville, on the other hand, has been highly efficient at this. With Mikel Brown being the primary initiator in the offense, I think there’s value in his assist number.
I paired that with Lamar Wilkerson to go Over his points total. As we saw earlier this week, Louisville can be cooked in both transition and off-the-dribble situations. He’s the most likely candidate to score from both.
