Darius Acuff has been a bright spot for No. 20 Arkansas, and he’ll remind No. 25 Alabama why he’s regarded as one of the nation’s top guards.

Darius Acuff is one of the best guards in the country, and he hopes to leave Alabama with a win when they meet Arkansas.

I expect him to find plenty of success in an open floor matchup.

Read why I’m grabbing the Over on his assist prop in my Arkansas vs. Alabama predictions and college basketball picks for Wednesday, February 18.

Arkansas vs Alabama prediction

Arkansas vs Alabama best bet: Darius Acuff Over 5.5 assists (-155)

I’m rolling with one of the best guards in the country to play like it tonight. The Arkansas Razorbacks transition offense ranks in the 98th percentile in both frequency and efficiency, while the Alabama Crimson Tide gives up transition looks at one of the highest clips in the sport.

Darius Acuff is the primary transition pusher for the Hogs and a facilitator of pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop actions.

He's hit 5+ assists in four of his last five, including 7 and 9 dimes in his last two. In a game that should be insanely free-flowing, I expect Acuff to shine.

Arkansas vs Alabama same-game parlay

Alabama runs the fastest tempo in the country, and Arkansas isn't far behind. This Over is high, in fact, it’s very high, but even so, it seems like there’s still a little value in this number.

It’s the first leg of my parlay simply because neither team will have interest in slowing things down.

I paired it with Latrell Wrightsell to go Over 2.5 threes. The senior has 20 combined attempts from deep (!!!) over the last two games and should benefit from a game played so freely on the open floor.

Arkansas vs Alabama SGP

  • Darius Acuff Over 5.5 assists
  • Latrell Wrightsell Over 2.5 threes
  • Over 184.5

Our beyond the arc SGP: Pay attention to the pace

Quietly, Alabama has struggled defensively against pick-and-pops, allowing over one point per possession on such sets.

Trevon Brazile is almost exclusively the only option for these actions, which makes a +150 price point on Over 1.5 threes very enticing. It leads the way on my long-shot parlay.

I paired it with Aden Holloway to go Over a low-assist number. It’s a play simply on a game that will be played at such a frantic pace, with the ball in his hands so often.

Arkansas vs Alabama SGP

  • Darius Acuff Over 5.5 assists
  • Latrell Wrightsell Over 2.5 threes
  • Over 184.5
  • Trevon Brazile Over 1.5 threes
  • Aden Holloway Over 3.5 assists
