The Golden State Warriors lost a heartbreaker to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night as VJ Edgecombe put back a Tyrese Maxey miss with less than a second left, and Maxey sprinted down court for a chase-down block on De’Anthony Melton to seal the win.
The Cleveland Cavaliers won big on Friday, and they’ll look to keep rolling when the Warriors come to town. As Cleveland is playing the second leg of a back-to-back set and multiple players are banged up, my Warriors vs. Cavaliers predictions target a second-year role player who has stepped up in a big way this season.
Here are my best free NBA picks for this inter-Conference matchup on Saturday, December 6 at Rocket Arena.
Warriors vs Cavaliers prediction
Warriors vs Cavaliers best bet: Jaylon Tyson Over 17.5 points + rebounds (-115)
It’s the second leg of a back-to-back set for a banged-up Cleveland Cavaliers squad, so it’s yet unknown who will take the court. Darius Garland is expected back after sitting out Friday for a maintenance day, but Evan Mobley could be sidelined for a second straight game due to illness.
Even if both Garland and Mobley are available, Jaylon Tyson should remain in the starting lineup, as Jarrett Allen sits out another contest. Over his last seven games, Tyson has averaged 21.3 points and rebounds while logging nearly 30 minutes per contest.
The Golden State Warriors rank sixth in points per game allowed at 113.4, but the team has surrendered 108.6 at home and 117.1 on the road. The Warriors are middle-of-the-pack in rebounds allowed, so this isn’t a brutal matchup for Tyson.
He’s posted at least 18 points+rebounds in three straight and five of his last seven. With continued uncertainty surrounding Cleveland’s available players, I like the odds on Tyson’s combo line as he continues to see strong production and meaningful minutes.

Warriors vs Cavaliers same-game parlay
The Warriors are 14-9 to the Over this season, and while Cleveland is just 11-13 to the Under, the Cavs got in rhythm on Friday with a 130-point performance. With reinforcements potentially on the way for Cleveland, I expect a strong showing on offense.
Steph Curry is out, and both Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green are questionable tonight. Cleveland has performed poorly ATS this season, but the Warriors are on the road and will potentially be without their three best players. This should be a smash spot for Cleveland.
