Two teams looking to work their way out of the play-in picture and into their conference’s Top 6 meet tonight when the Atlanta Hawks visit the Golden State Warriors.

The Dubs, who opened their eight-game homestand with back-to-back wins, are 6-point favorites. My Hawks vs Warriors predictions and NBA picks have the post-Trae Atlanta side hanging with the home team, as has been the trend in this head-to-head.

Hawks vs Warriors prediction

Hawks vs Warriors best bet: Hawks +6 (-110)

The Atlanta Hawks offered a glimpse into what their post-Trae Young world looks like, and the early returns are promising.

Dyson Daniels worked as the de facto point man and ripped off his first career triple-double, as the Hawks dumped the Nuggets 110-87 — marking the lowest scoring output allowed this season. This Hawks defense has been non-existent this season, allowing 118.6 points per game, ranking 23rd.

While they'll be without Zaccharie Risacher and Kristaps Porzingis is a game-time decision, Atlanta might also have both CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert making their debut after being packaged in the Young deal.

Their defense will be put to the test tonight by the Golden State Warriors, who are coming off a 137-103 blowout of the Kings. At 13-5, they move into a tie for the third-most home wins in the West so far this season.

Since his return from a bruised quad, Steph Curry has averaged nearly 30 points per game while drilling 40% of his threes over the last 13 games.

It’s been a see-saw between these teams, exchanging wins in nine straight head-to-heads, the last a 124-115 Hawks win last March. However, Atlanta has been the better bet, going 5-2 ATS over the last seven. I like the new-look, perhaps defense-first Hawks to make an impact tonight.

Hawks vs Warriors same-game parlay

Caught the book asleep at the wheel for Dyson Daniels’ assist prop, which sits at a very gettable 5.5. He's coming off an 11-assist night against Denver, and has picked up 6+ dimes in seven of his last eight games.

And is it ever a bad time to bet on Steph Curry going nuclear from 3-point range? He’s coming off a 6-for-12 night from distance, marking the fourth time in six games he’s hit at least five moneyballs. He's also done it in four of his last seven against the Hawks, missing twice by just one three.

Jimmy Butler loves lighting up the Hawks. He’s hit the 20-point mark in two of his last three, and has dropped 25+ in five of his last six against Atlanta. Lastly, Nickeil Alexander-Walker has been producing on the road of late: he’s gone for 20+ points in six of his last seven away games.
