The Los Angeles Dodgers have not won as often as usual lately, but it’s not for a lack of offense — at least not recently.
My Twins vs. Dodgers predictions expect the runs to continue to be there Wednesday night, with Teoscar Hernandez playing a key role in creating them.
Let’s break things down further with my July 23 MLB picks.
Twins vs Dodgers prediction
My Twins vs Dodgers best bet: Teoscar Hernandez Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-130 at Caesars)
Teoscar Hernandez has not made a lot of noise at the plate over the last month or so. He’s in the perfect spot to change that Wednesday night.
He has a mouthwatering matchup against Chris Paddack, who has struggled mightily against right-handed bats all season long. Paddack has allowed righties to hit .298 and owns a WHIP of 1.40 against them.
Although Hernandez is more of a lefty masher, Paddack is someone he still profiles extremely well against. Paddack throws fastballs 30.3% more frequently than any other pitch against right-handed hitters. They account for nearly half of his pitches.
Hernandez has excelled against the fastball, even when facing righties. He’s hitting .274 with a rock solid .210 ISO vs. fastballs thrown by right-handed pitchers.
Hernandez has also averaged 2.4 hits, runs, & RBI in winning efforts this season. That’s notable as the Los Angeles Dodgers are heavily favored against the Minnesota Twins, who are 21-32 on the road this season
Twins vs Dodgers same-game parlay (SGP)
The Dodgers have scored runs in bunches of late, plating 24 over the last four games. Their lowest output along the way was five. They should be able to dish out plenty of damage against Chris Paddack, making it very difficult for the Twins to keep up vs. Tyler Glasnow.
On the other side of things, Willi Castro stands out as a good target to record a hit. He’s picked up at least one in 65% of his games this season and Glasnow has given up a much higher batting average to lefties than righties in 2025.
