Shohei Ohtani Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Game 4 of the World Series

You can't hope to stop Shohei Ohtani, only contain him. And even then, the Dodgers superstar will burn you anyway. He'll factor in again tonight against the Blue Jays in Game 4, scoring a pair of runs (or more) in the process.

Shohei Ohtani was an integral part of the Los Angeles Dodgers' marathon Game 3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday night, and he will be front and center again tonight in Game 4.

It's actually quite difficult to handicap Shohei Ohtani odds a day after he reached base nine times, but I've found the best angle to approach him with my MLB picks for Tuesday, October 28.

Shohei Ohtani prop pick

Shohei Ohtani best bet: Shohei Ohtani Over 1.5 runs scored (+220 at BetMGM)

Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs, two doubles, five walks (four intentional), three RBI, and three runs scored.

Without him, the Dodgers don't tie the game on a hilariously center-cut fastball from Seranthony Dominguez.

Yeah, you can't throw him that pitch. And the Toronto Blue Jays won't. Not again. Maybe Shane Bieber gets a crack or two at retiring Ohtani, especially to lead off the bottom of the first, but Blue Jays manager John Schneider will likely do his best to take the bat out of Ohtani's hands.

This is why I'm shying away from his total bases, RBI, and home run props and electing to take him at massive plus money to score twice. For context, his prop to hit a home run is +180.

If the Jays stay away from Ohtani, he'll gladly take his walks while letting his teammates do the damage. If they don't, we could just get a repeat of last night. Win-win.

With Ohtani also starting on the mound, I was tempted to take the Under 18.5 outs recorded, but the vig is -175, and better value can be found elsewhere.

Shohei Ohtani same-game parlay

Shohei Ohtani Over 1.5 runs

Shohei Ohtani Under 6.5 strikeouts

Freddie Freeman Over 0.5 RBI

Despite the Dodgers' bullpen being thrust into oblivion last night, Ohtani simply doesn't pitch super deep into his starts, especially coming off surgery that forced him to miss all of 2024 and a large chunk of 2025.

He went six innings both times he's started this postseason, including his 10-strikeout obliteration of the Brewers to clinch the NLCS, but he's not recorded an out in the seventh in 2025 (playoffs or regular season). The Blue Jays will work him. Toronto doesn't give in, and rarely strikes out, so if I can't use the outs prop here, I'll grab the better odds on Under 6.5 strikeouts.

If Ohtani is scoring a couple of runs, Freddie Freeman is a fantastic candidate to drive him in. Freeman hits third in the lineup and drove in a pair of runs last night.
