The Toronto Blue Jays found a power surge and perhaps a spark to get their season moving. The question is: can they keep the momentum on Thursday night and win their series with the AL-leading Boston Red Sox?

The Jays rallied from 6-0 down for the unlikely extra-innings win. Our Red Sox vs. Blue Jays prediction has the hitters staying hot against a struggling visiting pitcher.

Red Sox vs Blue Jays prediction

My Red Sox vs Blue Jays best bet: Anthony Santander Over 1 total bases (-133 at BetVictor)

There might not have been a Toronto Blue Jays player who needed that jolt of confidence more than Anthony Santander. The shiny offseason pickup is hitting just .175, with a .574 OPS, but it was his big bop that completed the comeback, drilling a three-run home run to tie the game, wiping out that 6-0 deficit Boston had built through six innings.

It was just Santander’s second hit in eight games, but the Jays need all the runs they can get. They’re currently tied for Bottom 5 in runs per game at a paltry 3.54 per contest, and they rank second-last in the majors in home runs, with 19 through 30 games.

Last time out, he lasted just five innings, giving up eight hits and four earned runs to the Guardians. In five April starts, Houck has allowed 31 hits over 24 innings, allowing 21 earned runs and surrendering four long balls.

Santander has a healthy .294 average against Houck in his career over 17 at-bats, and while he has no extra-base hits or home runs, just one good connection lands you a betting win in this scenario.

Red Sox vs Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Anthony Santander Over 0.5 total bases

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 doubles

Jose Berrios Under 5.5 strikeouts

On top of Santander, we’ll add Toronto's best player and best hitter against Houck to our SGP. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. picked up a hit and scored the all-important winning run Wednesday, giving him hits in three straight games and eight of his last 12 overall.

One of those Under outings came against these same Red Sox, pitching a season-high seven innings of four-hit ball, allowing just one earned run, walking three, and striking out just two batters.
