Rangers vs Twins Prediction, Picks & Odds for Today’s MLB Game

On paper, Patrick Corbin vs. Bailey Ober may not look like a recipe for an Under, but you'd be mistaken. Ober has only had two truly bad starts where he's allowed more than three runs and Corbin is pitching better than he has in years.

The Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins will battle for a series win in the rubber match of their three-game set from Target Field in Minneapolis.

While there have been some offensive fireworks in this series, our Rangers vs. Twins predictions and MLB picks have these lower-scoring clubs working their way Under the total on Thursday, June 12.

Rangers vs Twins prediction

My Rangers vs Twins best bet: Under 8.5 (-115 at BetMGM)

The Texas Rangers are tied for 27th in scoring at just 3.54 runs per game. They counterbalance this anemic attack by ranking first in the AL in team ERA (3.17).

Lefty Patrick Corbin gets the call and he’s coming off his best start of the year.

Corbin went a season-best eight innings, scattering five hits and two earned runs, but didn’t get any support as he was tagged with the 2-0 loss to Washington.

The Minnesota Twins have a little more offensive pop than Texas, ranking 16th in scoring at 4.24 runs per game while still sitting in the Top 10 with a 3.65 ERA.

Right-hander Bailey Ober is trying to bounce back from his worst start since Opening Day. He was tagged with five runs, including two homers, in seven innings of work in a 6-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

However, before that start, he’d allowed exactly one earned run eight times in 11 starts, and no more than three in any appearance.

With Corbin dealing and Ober looking to bounce back to his norm, this one should settle in Under those nine runs set by the books.

Rangers vs Twins same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 8.5

Byron Buxton 2+ hits

Evan Carter 1+ hits

Byron Buxton entered this series on an ugly 0-for-11 run, but he’s picked up three hits in back-to-back games.

They come in bunches too. Buxton has hits in six of his last 10 games and, get this, each of those six had featured multiple hits.

Buxton is 2-for-6 vs. Corbin, with both being home runs.

We’ll wrap with Texas’ Evan Carter, who picked up a pair of hits in Wednesday’s win, giving him three multi-hit games in a row, and eight in his last 14 at-bats.
