Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 5.5 strikeouts (-104)

I’d call this a generous line for a pitcher who has picked up at least six strikeouts in three of his four starts this season.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been especially dominant against the San Francisco Giants since landing in MLB.

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ righty has struck out at least six Giants in four of his five career starts, and as a team, San Francisco’s current roster is hitting .139 against him with 25 strikeouts in 79 at-bats.

Ben Rice Over 1.5 total bases (+100)

It’s been quite a power surge for New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice. He’s hit a home run in four straight, upping his OPS to an MLB-best 1.276 while hitting .338 (2nd).

Rice has picked up at least two total bases in seven of his last 10, and he’ll face Boston Red Sox lefty Connelly Early.

Rice has been ripping southpaws in a small sample, batting .353 in 17 at-bats, with three homers. He's also an analytics darling, ranking in the 97th percentile or better in average exit velocity, barrel rate, hard-hit percentage, and expected slugging.

Jeremiah Jackson Over 1.5 total bases (+115)

Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jeremiah Jackson has been on a nice run, picking up hits in 10 of his last 13 games and at least two total bases in five of those.

He’ll get his first look at Kris Bubic today, and the lefty has had his troubles of late. His two-hitter over seven innings against the White Sox is sandwiched between starts where he got rocked for 10 hits and nine runs against the Tigers and Brewers.

Jackson has feasted on lefty pitching this season, going 7-for-14 (.500) with a HR and five RBI, with a .714 slugging percentage. Let's round out our MLB picks with the infielder having another strong day at the plate.
