Our 3 best MLB player props for Thursday, September 25
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Carlos Rodón Over 1.5 earned runs
Carlos Rodón has been a stud for the New York Yankees all year long, posting a 3.04 ERA and a 17-9 record. However, his total is a little too low for my liking tonight. The left-hander has allowed Over 1.5 earned runs in four of his last seven appearances.
He gave up just two earned runs in each of those starts, and we could see a similar trend as he faces his former team, the Chicago White Sox. Rodón has a 2.87 ERA at home, and he’s given up two earned in each of his last two starts at Yankee Stadium.
I have no doubts he’ll pitch well; it may just not be a flawless outing for the big lefty.

Prop #2: Shota Imanaga Over 2.5 earned runs
We shift to the National League with another solid arm in Shota Imanaga. While he’s had a nice campaign overall, the Japanese left-hander hasn’t been in his best form lately. Imanaga has allowed Over 2.5 earned runs in five consecutive starts, giving up three earned in each appearance.
He’ll be up against the New York Mets tonight, who have no shortage of offensive firepower. NY is also hitting .357 against Imanaga across 28 at-bats. That includes a pair of home runs. Imanaga hasn’t faced them yet this season, but he’s clearly struggling at the moment.
The Mets only scored three runs on Wednesday as well. They will be motivated to bounce back, and there’s a track record of success against Imanaga.

Prop #3: Cal Raleigh anytime HR
Cal Raleigh continues to solidify his case for American League MVP. “The Big Dumper” just had a two-homer game on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies as the Seattle Mariners clinched the American League West title. He’s now sitting at 60 bombs, and I’m eyeing Raleigh to keep it rolling tonight.
The M’s backstop has now smacked four round-trippers in his last four contests. He’s gone deep 10 times in September, and there’s no signs of Raleigh slowing down as the playoffs approach. He’s truly having a historic campaign, and it doesn’t matter who is on the mound.
Bradley Blalock gets the ball for the Rockies, and he’s allowed 16 homers in just 13 appearances this season. The youngster also has an ERA over nine. This is a clear opportunity for Raleigh to club No. 61 at home.
