It’s another busy day in the Majors, and I’ve dug deep for the best MLB player props for all the action.

My MLB picks are eyeing Max Fried, Max Scherzer, and Mookie Betts for today's heavy MLB slate.

Read on for my MLB player props for Saturday, September 14.

Best MLB player props today

  • Yankees Fried u2.5 earned runs (-125)
  • Blue Jays Scherzer o2.5 earned runs (+125)
  • Dodgers Betts o1.5 hits (+190)

Our 3 best MLB player props for Saturday, September 13

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Max Fried Under 2.5 earned runs

-125 at BetMGM

The New York Yankees send Max Fried to the hill today as they face off with the Boston Red Sox again. The left-hander has been a phenomenal addition in the Bronx, especially with Gerrit Cole out all year. He owns a 16-5 record and 3.02 ERA.

Fried has cashed the Under in earned runs allowed in three of his last four outings, and only allowed three earned in the other. He still lasted seven innings, too. He’s the Yankees’ most consistent arm, and there’s always extra fuel when you face the Red Sox in this rivalry.

The lefty already has a 1.38 ERA across two starts this season versus Boston, surrendering just two earned runs across 13 innings of work. He’ll bring his best stuff.

Prop #2: Max Scherzer Over 2.5 earned runs

+125 at BetMGM

Max Scherzer is no longer a spring chicken, and he has struggled to maintain consistency this year with the Toronto Blue Jays. The 41-year-old is 5-3 with a 4.36 ERA in 14 starts. He’s had a rough few weeks, cashing the Over in earned runs allowed in three consecutive starts, giving up four in each.

The right-hander faces the Baltimore Orioles today, and although they’re not exactly performing like an elite offense this season, Scherzer has a 6.00 ERA against them in 2025. He’s getting hit around a lot right now.

Scherzer’s ERA sits at 4.50 at home as well, and the Jays host the O’s tonight. It could be another difficult outing for the future Hall of Famer.

Prop #3: Mookie Betts Over 1.5 hits

+190 at BetMGM

It’s an important National League West affair this evening as the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants meet. Mookie Betts, in particular, will be looking forward to this matchup as he’ll face Logan Webb, with whom he has an impressive track record.

Betts has raked off him in the past, going 15-for-40 with two doubles and two home runs. The veteran is also swinging it well overall at the moment, cashing the Over in hits in four of his last six appearances. That included a four-hit game earlier this week against the Colorado Rockies.

Betts is batting .349 in September so far. He knows Webb very well, and that could result in another banner performance at the dish for the Dodgers superstar.
