It’s another busy schedule across the big leagues tonight, with 13 games on the docket. I’ve dug deep to find the best MLB player props for all the action.

Find out why Max Scherzer, Bo Bichette, and Kodai Senga are all included in my picks for Monday, August 25.

Best MLB player props today

  • TEAM Scherzer o4.5 hits allowed (-105)
  • TEAM Bichette o1.5 hits (+175)
  • TEAM Senga o2.5 earned runs (+120)

Our 3 best MLB player props for Monday, August 25

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Max Scherzer Over 4.5 hits allowed

-105 at Caesars

Max Scherzer is starting to find his best with the red-hot Toronto Blue Jays. He’s posted a 1.80 ERA in August and has brought down his total ERA to 3.60. The right-hander has allowed 50 hits in 60 innings of work this season, however, and with his total quite low tonight, there’s value in hammering the Over.

The former Cy Young winner has given up Over 4.5 hits in three of his last four outings. They were all impressive starts; he just managed to pitch out of trouble at times. Scherzer will face the Minnesota Twins tonight, who are hitting .125 against him. But it’s a small sample size of 24 at-bats.

Scherzer has allowed 26 hits in 30 frames at home this year, which is why he makes the short list for tonight's MLB picks

Prop #2: Bo Bichette Over 1.5 hits

+175 at Caesars

We’ll stick with Canada’s Team for my second pick. Bo Bichette is having another stellar campaign for the Jays as he currently leads the Majors in hits. He’s batting .306 with 16 home runs and 83 RBIs. Bichette is a hit machine, and his greatness has been on full display lately.

The infielder has cashed the Over in hits in three of his last four games and has six hits across his last two contests alone. Bichette finished 2-for-3 in a loss to the Miami Marlins on Sunday and was 4-for-6 on Saturday as well.

Bichette is just 2-for-8 against Twins starter Joe Ryan, who is on the hill tonight. But, he’s hitting .321 at home and .308 against right-handed hurlers. Take Bichette to stay hot as Toronto returns to the Rogers Centre.

Prop #3: Kodai Senga Over 2.5 earned runs

+120 at Caesars

The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies begin an extremely important NL East series tonight, and we have a wonderful matchup on the mound as Kodai Senga takes on Cristopher Sanchez. Senga has compiled a 2.58 ERA this season, but August hasn’t been kind to him.

The Japanese righty has a 5.21 ERA this month, allowing Over 2.5 earned runs in two of his last four appearances. Last time out, Senga surrendered four earned runs to the Washington Nationals. Although he hasn’t faced the Phillies since 2023, they’re swinging it well at the moment, winning six of their last seven.

Philadelphia has a .122 average against Senga, but again, that’s across only 49 at-bats. He isn’t at his best right now, and I do think you’ll see the Phillies continue to swing it with authority against Senga, scoring a few runs off him, at the very least.
