The Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles square off once again this afternoon at Fenway Park, opening a doubleheader that promises fireworks.

Rafael Devers went off on Friday, and there’s every reason to believe he’ll stay hot in today’s matchup. I’ll break down the key angles and betting edges in my Red Sox vs. Orioles predictions.

Check out my top MLB picks for Saturday, May 24.

Orioles vs Red Sox prediction

My Orioles vs Red Sox best bet: Rafael Devers 2+ hits (+265 at DraftKings)

Rafael Devers has been caught in some drama over the past couple of months after the Boston Red Sox gave Alex Bregman his starting spot at third base. Devers then refused to play first after Triston Casas’ season-ending injury, but the slugger is certainly making his presence felt offensively, despite the outside noise.

The Dominican is batting .299 with 12 home runs and 47 RBI in 2025, and he just had his best game of the year on Friday as the Red Sox scored 19 runs against the Baltimore Orioles. Devers was 4-for-6 with two bombs and eight RBI, and I expect him to carry that confidence into this contest.

Devers has collected 2+ hits in four of his last eight appearances, and he’s batting .351 at home compared to .247 on the road. Baltimore also sends Zach Eflin to the mound today, who Devers has an impressive track record against. He’s 7-for-19 lifetime with four doubles and two long balls.

He'll bring his best offensively once again.

Orioles vs Red Sox same-game parlay (SGP)

Rafael Devers 2+ hits

Jarren Duran 1+ RBI

Hunter Dobbins Over 4.5 strikeouts

Devers wasn’t the only one to thrive on Friday. If a team is scoring 19 runs, the entire lineup is doing their part. That included Jarren Duran, who was 2-for-5 with three RBI. He’s been a run-producing machine this season (32 RBI).

He's collected 1+ RBI in four of his last six games and has nine RBI during that span. He’s been a huge part of Boston’s success offensively, and although Duran is just 1-for-9 lifetime against Eflin, the Orioles also have a dreadful bullpen. I could see him making some noise at the dish and getting it done with runners in scoring position.

The Red Sox hand Hunter Dobbins the baseball today, and he’s been solid. The 25-year-old has a 2-1 record and 3.62 ERA, striking out 25 in 32 1/3 innings of work. The right-hander has only cashed the Over in Ks in three of his last six outings, but he’s up against an Orioles lineup struggling immensely.

Baltimore is ninth in the Big Leagues in strikeouts. Dobbins has shown swing-and-miss stuff at times, and he’ll have a chance to showcase it against one of the worst offenses in baseball.
