HR Prop #1: Teoscar Hernandez
Teoscar Hernandez may only have 24 home runs this season, but it’s common knowledge that he’s a threat to go deep at any given moment. He hit three home runs across his last two games against the Colorado Rockies.
The Los Angeles Dodgers begin a series with the San Francisco Giants tonight, and they will face Justin Verlander. Hernandez is one of the new hitters in their lineup who has dominated the right-hander in the past, going 3-for-7 with a double.
Although Verlander has allowed just 12 bombs all year, Hernandez is extremely confident at the moment. A third straight contest with a round-tripper isn’t out of the question.
HR Prop #2: Eugenio Suarez
Even in a different jersey, Eugenio Suarez is still smacking homers. The 34-year-old has gone deep 45 times, adding another element to the Seattle Mariners’ lineup alongside HR leader Cal Raleigh. Suarez has left the yard three times in September so far.
The veteran will be looking forward to tonight’s matchup. The Los Angeles Angels hand Yusei Kikuchi the ball, who will not want to see Suarez in the box. He’s 5-for-12 lifetime with three round-trippers. Suarez has smacked 12 bombs off left-handed pitchers.
He’s been a bit cold as of late, but this could be exactly what Suarez needs to break out and find his stroke again.
HR Prop #3: Jackson Chourio
Jackson Chourio may be just 21, but he’s quickly showing why he could be a star at the MLB level. After smacking 21 bombs last year, he’s up to 20 this season, with just under a month left in the campaign. The youngster has two long balls in his last four games, hitting No. 20 on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers.
The Milwaukee Brewers face the St. Louis Cardinals tonight, with Andre Pallante on the bump. Although Chourio hasn’t taken him yard before, he’s 3-for-4 with a triple. Chourio has clubbed 14 of his home runs off right-handed pitchers, too.
Pallante has given up 20 homers this season in 28 starts, with 10 off the bats of right-handed hitters. He also has an ERA over five. Chourio could add to his misery this evening.
