HR picks for June 7
Teoscar Hernandez (+500 at DraftKings)
Teoscar Hernandez is batting .272 with 10 home runs and 43 RBI. Although he’s missed time due to injury, Hernandez has been constantly productive when healthy.
Today, Hernandez and the Los Angeles Dodgers face St. Louis Cardinals starter Erick Fedde. While Fedde is having a respectable campaign, he’s been lit up by Hernandez in the past. He's 3-for-6 lifetime against the right-hander, and two of those hits are homers.
Five of Hernandez’s long balls are versus right-handed hurlers and he’s compiled four bombs on the road.
Willy Adames (+600 at DraftKings)
Willy Adames is batting a mere .195 with only five home runs in 64 games. Not exactly what the San Francisco Giants were hoping for when they signed him to a massive contract in free agency.
That being said, there’s reason to believe he could make some noise today. Adames is 3-for-10 vs. Atlanta Braves RHP Bryce Elder. Two of those hits have left the yard, and Elder has surrendered multiple homers in three of his nine starts this season.
Adames also hasn’t gone deep since May 13. It’s only a matter of time until he does smack No. 6, and this afternoon’s matchup is favorable for him to break loose at a great price for our MLB picks.
Lawrence Butler (+380 at DraftKings)
There isn’t a lot of reason to be optimistic as an A's fan, but Lawrence Butler is certainly a bright spot. The speedster is hitting .270 so far with nine homers and 28 RBI. Sutter Health Park is one of the most hitter-friendly ballparks and is the site for five Butler bombs in 2025.
Baltimore Orioles SP Charlie Morton has endured a nightmare start to the season, which briefly resulted in a demotion to the bullpen.
Butler, who is batting .391 in June, has never faced Morton, but the righty has allowed 10 home runs in just 14 outings, with five coming off left-handed bats.
