The Chicago Cubs took the series opener against the Cleveland Guardians, and the two clubs return to Wrigley Field for a rematch tonight.

My Guardians vs. Cubs predictions focus on Cleveland right-hander Tanner Bibee, who's in for a rough outing against this deep Chicago lineup.

Guardians vs Cubs prediction

My Guardians vs Cubs best bet: Tanner Bibee Under 17.5 outs recorded (+115 at DraftKings)

Cleveland Guardians righty Tanner Bibee has been handling a huge workload and has topped triple-digit pitches in three of his past five starts.

Bibbee's numbers are down across the board from his first two years in the league, and he’ll face a daunting Chicago Cubs lineup tonight.

The Cubs rank third in wOBA and fourth in ISO against right-handed pitchers, and Bibee has also struggled on the road with a 4.96 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.

Chicago even has a splash of statistical correction coming, with the second-lowest BABIP (.265) while averaging just 4.5 runs per game over the past 30 days. The Cubs have also posted a .299 BABIP, plating 5.78 runs per game across their first 59 of the season.

Guardians vs Cubs same-game parlay (SGP)

Tanner Bibee Under 17.5 outs recorded

Cubs -1.5

Jose Ramirez Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

The Guardians have been abysmal against southpaws this season with a 29th-ranked wOBA and 28th-ranked ISO, and Cubbies lefty Shota Imanaga showed off in his return to the mound with five scoreless innings in winning fashion last week.

I expect Imanaga to keep it rolling given his impressive 2.83 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 38 career starts.

Turning to the final leg of this same-game parlay, Cleveland star Jose Ramirez terrorizes lefties and sports a high-end .373 wOBA, .251 ISO, and .907 OPS over the past three years.

Ramirez also hits in the heart of the lineup and is ripe for a breakout game given his active 3-for-27 stretch at the dish over the past seven games.
