A battle for NL Central supremacy continues today, and Kyle Tucker will give the Chicago Cubs the edge over the Milwaukee Brewers.
See why my Cubs vs. Brewers predictions and MLB picks are bullish on the slugging outfielder on Wednesday, July 30.
Cubs vs Brewers prediction
My Cubs vs Brewers best bet: Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 total bases (+120 at bet365)
The Chicago Cubs lead the majors in runs scored from the visitors' dugout, and Kyle Tucker is a big reason why.
Tucker boasts a .897 OPS with 12 home runs and 12 doubles away from the Friendly Confines. Tucker has great success hitting four-seam fastballs, and he’ll see some heat today from Milwaukee Brewers starter Freddy Peralta.
Although Peralta and the Brew Crew have beaten the Cubs in three straight starts, Tucker boasts a .907 OPS against righties, and he’s 4-for-7 with an extra-base hit and 1.381 OPS against "Fastball Freddy."
Lefty bats are hitting .206 with a .251 xBA against Peralta’s heater. Tucker bats .274 against the fastball and his .306 xBA against the four-seamer, alongside Tucker's encouraging history against Peralta, leads me to his high-value Over 1.5 total bases market.
Cubs vs Brewers same-game parlay (SGP)
While Tucker should have a good day against Peralta, the Brewers righty is striking out 10 batters per nine at home, and has 13 punchouts in 11 frames in 2025 against Chicago.
Peralta has cleared his strikeout prop in four of his last five outings at home, and while he will get the punchouts, Cubs starter Shota Imanaga won’t.
Imanaga is coming off a velo-dipping three-inning stinker at the White Sox. He’s gone Under his strikeout prop total in seven of his last 10 starts, and the Brewers boast a fourth-best 21% K-rate vs. lefties.
