Brewers vs Mariners prediction

My Brewers vs Mariners best bet: Brewers moneyline (+105 at Caesars)

The Milwaukee Brewers hand the ball to right hander Brandon Woodruff, who has been excellent since returning from injury. Woodruff was performing like a Cy Young candidate before injuring his shoulder in 2023, and he's picked up right where he left off.

Through two starts, the right-hander is 1-0 with a 2.61 ERA and 0.68 WHIP. His underlying metrics are even more dominant, as Woodruff boasts a 2.21 expected ERA (xERA) and .189 expected batting average (xBA).

Meanwhile, righty George Kirby takes the mound for the Seattle Mariners. It’s been the worst year of his career so far, with a 4.50 ERA and 1.15 WHIP through 10 starts.

His analytics are also concerning, as Kirby ranks in the bottom third of the league in xBA, average exit velocity, and hard-hit rate. The Brewers can take advantage of those pitching woes.

Entering this matchup, Milwaukee ranks in the top half of the league in runs scored per game, hits per game, batting average, and on-base percentage.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Brewers vs Mariners same-game parlay (SGP)

Brewers moneyline

Brandon Woodruff 7+ strikeouts

Caleb Durbin 1+ hit

Part of Woodruff’s early success has been his command. Although it’s a small sample size, he would rank first in Major League Baseball in both strikeout rate and walk rate if he qualified. He's recorded eight or more strikeouts in each of his first two starts.

Meanwhile, Caleb Durbin enters this contest in excellent form, with at least one hit in each of his past six games. He boasts a .409 batting average over that stretch.
