The Milwaukee Brewers have won eight straight. They’ll send righty Freddy Peralta to the hill, and the veteran and his improved changeup have delivered for the Brew Crew this season.
Peralta’s straight changeup has been highly effective. The pitch has held batters to a .181 batting average and a 46% percent whiff count. It’s also permitted him to pitch into the sixth inning in six of his last eight starts.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers' potent offense has scored fewer than three runs in four of their last five. They’ve struck out in nearly 30% of their at-bats in their past five games, and that opens the door for Peralta and his offspeed arsenal.
Fueled by his nasty changeup, Peralta has punched out 6+ batters in six straight starts. With the Dodgers' strikeout rate on the rise, I’m backing the Brewers’ ace to notch at least six Ks tonight.
