The Toronto Blue Jays are flying high as they continue their road trip, with the next stop being St. Louis to take on the Cardinals. Toronto’s lineup is starting to come around, resulting in four straight series wins.

My Blue Jays predictions and MLB picks for June 9 expect them to keep raking in Monday night’s opener, resulting in a short night for Cards’ starter Andre Pallante.

Blue Jays predictions for June 9

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Pallante pulled early

Andre Pallante Under 17.5 outs (+105 at BetVictor)

The Toronto Blue Jays have won four straight series and five of their last six, thanks in large part to the lineup starting to come to life.

The Blue Jays are 13-6 since their series against the San Diego Padres at the end of May. Since then, they rank seventh in batting average, sixth in OPS, and fourth in wRC+.

What's made this Toronto lineup more dangerous is the fact it hasn’t been just Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette doing the heavy lifting: George Springer has continued his resurgence, Addison Barger is having a breakout season, and Alejandro Kirk might be one of the most underappreciated players in baseball.

They're getting contributions up and down the lineup with much more regularity, and I think they can put some pressure on St. Louis Cardinals starter Andre Pallante tonight.

The 26-year-old righty has thrown some gems this season, but he's too often battling his command, and it's meant some uneven results.

Pallante enters this game ranked in the 24th percentile in expected ERA and the 13th percentile in opponent xBA. He also doesn’t have much swing-and-miss in his game, striking out just 15.5% of batters faced this season.

The RHP has a moderate leash, averaging 87.6 pitches per start, but the walks can quickly increase his pitch count. He's issued multiple free passes seven times in 12 starts.

It’s not a coincidence Pallante has completed six or more innings five times this season. His outs recorded prop is sitting at 17.5, a number he's stayed below in five of his last eight starts and the previous three in a row overall.

The Blue Jays are well-positioned to continue that momentum. Not only are they hitting well, but they have also been a patient lineup over this six-series stretch, ranking fifth in walk rate.

At plus money, Pallante to go Under his outs recorded prop looks like a solid play tonight.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Andre Pallante Under 17.5 outs

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 RBI

Alejandro Kirk Over 0.5 singles

So, who’s going to help make this a short night for Pallante? Well, none other than Vladimir Guerrero Jr., of course. Vladdy’s average has dipped a bit in June, but he’s still tallied three knocks over the weekend and has six RBI over his last 10 games.

Vladdy also appears to be a tough matchup for Pallante, given his easy power and excellent contact skills. Guerrero enters this game in the 99th percentile when it comes to xBA.

Speaking of contact skills, not many do that better than Alejandro Kirk. The Jays catcher is locked in, collecting at least one hit in 12 of his last 14 games. He’s hitting .386 over that span and now ranks in the 96th percentile in xBA.

He has 17 total hits over that stretch, with only two going for extra bases.
