The most impressive part of this resurgent Toronto Blue Jays offense has been their ability to counterpunch.

If they give up some runs, they strike back quickly. Last night’s win over the St. Louis Cardinals was a great example of that. Every time the Cards threatened the lead, the Jays tacked on a few more.

Now, the winners of five series in a row, Toronto goes for the sweep in St. Louis, and my Blue Jays predictions look at arguably the hottest hitter in all of baseball — Alejandro Kirk.

Blue Jays predictions for June 11

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: A real Korker

Alejandro Kirk Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110 at BetVictor)

The Toronto Blue Jays just keep winning, and they’re now 11-2 in their last 13 games following last night’s 10-9 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

And Jays fans, brace yourselves, they lead the majors in batting average, OPS, and wRC+ during that period.

They are getting contributions from places other than the obvious places like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette.

George Springer is proving he’s not washed. Addison Barger is having a hell of a breakout season. But the most impressive of all has been Alejandro Kirk.

The Blue Jays catcher is locked in at the dish and has found the timing that made him an All-Star in 2022. (If he’s not an All-Star this year, we riot.)

Kirk has been hitting well most of the season, but he’s hitting a ridiculous .475 with a 1.236 OPS, two home runs, four doubles, and 12 RBI over his last 10 games, which includes a ridiculous seven hits in these two games vs. the Cardinals.

And I like him to keep raking in Wednesday’s finale, where he’ll face off against Cardinals starter Matthew Liberatore.

The 25-year-old left-hander is having a solid season, pitching to a 3.57 expected ERA. But he ranks in the 28th percentile in the opponent's expected batting average.

And when he gets hit, he’s been getting hit hard. He ranks in the Bottom 36% or worse in average exit velocity, hard-hit percentage, and barrel rate.

Those are not things you want to be struggling with going against a guy like Kirk. So, let’s back Captain Kirk to achieve liftoff once again tonight and take Over 1.5 total bases at plus money.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Alejandro Kirk Over 1.5 total bases

Vladimir Guerrero Over 0.5 runs

George Springer Over 0.5 RBI

With Kirk and Barger red-hot and likely hitting behind Guerrero this afternoon, I like the Blue Jays' star slugger to score another run.

Vladdy ranks in the 99th percentile in expected batting average. So it’s no surprise he leads the Jays with 40 runs and has safely crossed the plate in 27 of Toronto’s last 38 games.

Kirk is a good candidate to drive Vladdy in, but let’s not forget about the job Springer is doing.

The outfielder has found the fountain of youth and is hitting the ball hard again. He has an .858 OPS and 30 RBI this season and has driven in at least one run in nine of his last 12 games.

Right-handed batters are also the ones doing he most damage against Liberatore, getting to him for a .263 average and a .709 OPS.

He began at Covers as a news editor and has now done everything under the sun when it comes to content. His work has been seen on TSN, Sportsnet, VSiN, and CBS. It's not an interesting story. Seriously.<
